@Victoria Sponge That makes sense Good that you know what it is and that you don't have a mystery rose there. Princess Anne looks like it has much more old rose genes in it, doesn't it? It's like a modern version of damask rose. PAoK is noticeably more modern. Here is mine (photo 4 days ago). I was brave and hard-pruned this year to force new basals and I got some nice shoots very low, so I am happy about that.
My EduH bud hasn't grown much h, think it got caught out in recent frosts.
I'm also rather disappointed in my new HT Chandos Beauty, it is really tiny. A bare root it did have a good long root system so I'mhoping it will improve.
The rose bed today Tulips Hakuun just opened Thalias, also just starting N. Regeneration This section needs some weeding and some replacements for plants lost to wet winter. The drive bed. Purple Skyliner looks really good, it will be a wall of purple in 2 months.
I’ve been amusing myself watching the acrobatic show the sparrows have been hosting in the garden trying to get the aphids from the very flexible rose tips. A lot of stretching of necks, flapping of wings, hanging at very awkward angles...
The garden is looking great @edhelka, Purple Skyliner is going great guns, I always admire it. I cant see many gaps there!
I think I’ve lost a Salvia Amistad to wet and my parahebes are looking extremely frost-bitten and sad. The latter didn’t flower much in their first year so it remains to be seen if they recover and go on to be happy here.
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
Love the hue that your obelisk is, Edhelka. My thalias also just came out. I had forgotten exactly where they were in the garden, and was bemoaning their having disappeared.
Lizzie, I have a new Chandos B too, planted from bareroot right at the end of the season. (Can't show pics as my phone camera won't focus.) Growth is also only just starting on mine, but better slow than dead, I guess.
I know it was briefly discussed before, but is anyone growing Kiss Me Kate? I’ve planted mine as bare root at the beginning of 2021 and, apart from growing a few leaves and a half formed flower, it did pretty much nothing the whole year. It only has two scrawny stems and there’s no new growth from under the soil. It does have a few new shoots at the very top of the two stems, but that’s it. Should I replace or am I being too impatient?Â

No signs of mine yet, @Fire.
