Heres a few of my garden yesturday. Few buds popping up on roses now too, natalija and angel eyes look to be in a race! This beauty is 'frosty snow'. I put 20 in this bed with the pheasants eye ones and they are gorgeous. Colour slowly fades paler in centre. Choisya on left budding away along with my beloved viburnum opulus roseum (pompom bush i call it!)on right. Both creamy white. Theres various pink and purple alliums in here too to try... Cheals weeping cherry budding. Always wanted one, 2nd year and should be covered hopefully! Purple and white wisteria on pergola is budding away, cross fingers.
@Athelas thats a lovely spot. We stay down in Gregans castle just in the edge of the Burren for a night or two the odd time. Later in Summer there are amazing wildflower walks in The Burren.
This is what the planter looks like in its entirety. You can see that there’s loads of damage! The planter Is made of some kind of fibreglass composite, but has some pretty big cracks so I do think I might need to repot the roses anyway.

@Katsa I wonder if there's clay in the composite material and they are attracted to that? I planted 'Eustacia Vye' in a similar container last year, bought for the purpose, so I'll keep an eye on it.Â
No chewing, but sorry to see a small crack on the near corner. I pruned the rose lightly as it's only been planted a year. Do you think it looks okay or should I have shortened the longest stems a bit more?Â
