I've been monitoring my Pheno Geno 'Pear' since I put it in the ground this Spring after a year in it's pot, and the results are quite remarkable...strong growth, no hint of disease and remarkably no trace of aphids (quite how it's managed that, I have no idea). I think it's the only plant in my garden which hasn't been infested with the things. I know a few people have bought the Pheno Geno group, so I would love to know if they have similar results as me.
Plenty of roses haven’t started yet but a few are building up to a full flush, we’ve had gloriously hot sun and no rain recently. The downside is my water butts are now empty!

Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
I have one Pheno Geno, Draga (a red one) in its first year and in a pot @peteS. It has a tiny amount of aphids and some slight damage that I always think is thrips (but might not be). It looks fine though and I'm not worried about it in the slightest. I have tentatively put another PG, Zara, on my bare root list if I'm happy with Draga. Not sure if anyone already has that one here? I'll keep an eye out.
Wonderful colours @Nollie and well-combined spikiness in your first pic.
I went through a lot of water yesterday. Have about 1500 litres left which sounds like loads but maybe only 3 waterings.
First flower yesterday from Ness which I think is now in year 3, a decent sized plant at about 4-4 1/2' and a fan shape. Flower closed again by the time I took the photo but it is mangled and looks better closed😉 Still, we're off!
Patent is pending but I have engineered this gardening solution to ensure I can water Park Direktor Riggers on the fence without bouncing through the border like a pixie. My soil level is higher than my neighbour's and immediately slopes away under their decking so I imagine there is not a great deal of water retention. It does actually work combined with a sort of berm I made out of play sand.
27 degrees expected here today and yesterday it was a lovely 22 .Â
My father in law showed up with a spray against aphids while I did not ask  anything so had to be polite but say no thank you I refuse to spray .
@Nollie a lovely first bloom for a struggling plant . Indeed more pink then red but still lovely 😊.
Guirlande is opening so I expect the clusters of flowers soon to be present on my walls . Walferdagne opening, at the moment a very bright pop of color .
Folle Framboise and Ab Fab starting to show their colours  Â
..great to see all these different, unusual roses.. I could do with a 27 degrees, might get close this week sometime.. good to hear you refused the sprays @Imprevu
@Lizzie27 ... lovely Wisteria on your wall, and easy to access I imagine, not being so high up as we usually see them
..lots of vigour on Desdemona, always good to see..
.. a few from me this morning. 'Kew Gardens'.. 'Botzaris'.. 'The Anniversary Rose'.. 'Vanessa Bell'.. 'Wild Rover'.. 'Erfurt'..
I have two water butts and I run hoses directly from them to new planting. I keep the taps open so that any rain goes directly to the base of my new Ghislaine and the other is in on the apple tree base. I move the hose outflow around during the year.Â
I have a hose/ siphon running from my bathroom to the back garden. I position that outflow to the base of new roses and move that every few days. I can really see which roses have had recent bath full of water and which have not. The growth levels are distinct.Â

@Omori How long did it take to germinate? and did you leave it in a greenhouse?
