@Nollie if it helps, my Rhapsody is in full exposed blazing sun in my garden and thrives so I do wonder if it would be ok. It smells amazingly floral, very strong.
Ive been in the garden all bank holiday so far planting the summer bedding and some rose care. Im shattered but happy. Pierre du Ronsard / Eden. Ive tied it in but the blooms hang down like bells on floppy necks. Ive cleared above it more trimming the cherry tree back to see if it will coax it taller. It is only a year oldthough. Odyssey. Im in love! A soggy window view! Wedding days dragging heels, but all that green showing is buds (!) Albertines bursting out. Its really awful in rain, balls and the floppy petals go everywhere and gum up the buds. Hoping weather dosent wreck the lot. I took out some non flowering branches at the back to help increase airflow again as wedding day gets ugly powdery mildew every year, it seems to help same for watering more. Its getting a good hack back this year post flowering anyway. Its sending new basals so its happy! The middle beds hulthemias, Sweet Syrie and Brother Cadfael are unphased by rain and hold up so well. L.O.Shalott yesturday. Absolutley delighted with it. Rhapsody yesterday, prolific. Last of the Tiverton wisteria blooms out behind. Amethyst falls just opening now on the front of the pergola. That raised veg beds a bit too hot as it really gets full sun so its canopy actually helps take the edge off the heat and veg does well! I took out a few leaves yesterday on that, will properly summer prune wisteria after the flowers finish.
That could just be here @owd potter, heat = less petals, I would have to get Falstaff for a fair comparison with WS2000.
@murasaki, oh I’m glad you have Princess Sibilla de Luxembourg, hope it does well for you. It’s one of my favourites but I call it by it’s shorter name Stormy Weather. I love the ruffled petals and it’s a very generous bloomer. One of it’s parents is Rhapsody in Blue. I should have just got RiB to try @JessicaS, maybe next year..

Lovely roses 🌹 everyone.
I took this photo at a road junction in Oxford. The quality of the picture is poor, but it was a sight to behold, a sea of white roses.
@Marlorena Personally I really like the pink and apricot hues on your 'GdeF' it's just beautiful. Will it be possible to grow 'Wild rover' as a bush?
@Nollie Love the colour of your William Shakespeare 2000 and The Price roses. I just can't wait to see my newly planted bare root roses.Â
Your fringed poppy and Boscobel are delightful, @murasaki.
