Your Lady Em is looking beautiful @Rojas and what a perfect Falstaff bloom. Scent is so subject to age, weather etc., my new William Shakespeare 2000 has no scent in shade/cooler weather but when the sun hits itās very strong.
Lady of Shallot and greening up grass! Itās impressive how one decent rainstorm is all it takes:
Ā Ivorās Rose, Iām glad I saved this very sickly rose from the bin and nursed it to health:
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
I'm delighted your 'Ivor's Rose' has taken off for you @Nollie I've often seen it in garden centres and got very tempted, it seemed vigorous in its pot, with thick shoots.. I'm still a little tempted..
I have 12 photos today, not all in one go.. and I'm so looking forward to my 93F on Sunday [not..]..Ā amazingly still no hose pipe ban in this area..
'Bring Me Sunshine'..Ā a strong musky Tea scent today.. 'Wilhelm' continues to impress me.. ..normally scentless, the bloom facing upwards has the sweet clove scent..Ā 'Scented Garden'.. I planted out 'Elizabeth' yesterday evening as it's such a pretty rose..Ā
Hi all. Sorry to hear you are still suffering @JessicaS. We went away to Wales for a long weekend ( have five pages to catch up on) and only then realised how much my stamina had been affected. Three dances and I was huffing and puffing. Did manage to climb up to Conway Castle for a visit, beautiful place,Ā and beat 9 others at archery. š° š¹
Iām beginning to see signs of what you were talking about @Marlorena when you originally recommended I try Ivor and directed me to Marinaās lovely photos of it. Shame itās taken so long, but it was a poor specimen and if you got a good one I think it would take off quickly. Still intrigued by your single scented bloom of Wilhelm, maybe it needed heat to bring it out, or direct sun on the stamens or some such? Be interesting to see if other blooms develop scent.. Remember to batten down the hatches before the heat hits your house!

@Nollie ... considering where you live, wouldn't you prefer to call it 'Flamenco Rosita'... .??
'Wild Rover' on my small arch... very healthy leafage.Ā It can black spot badly in August until established..Ā @Tack I'm pleased to hear you are happy with this rose so far.. 'Lilac Bouquet'.. 'Cornelia'.. usually stops during drought.. soldiering on.. 'Armada'..
Lovely roses everyone š š¹. I am captivated by @pitter-patter's Odyssey, @Nollie's Buff Beauty, @Rojas' Lady Emma Hamilton; they are in my wishlist now though I don't have any more space in my garden š³. Also I think LEH is no longer available to buy from DA š„“
Edited to add: happy to see your rose photos @Marlorena.
Here are a few photos taken today: Evelyn May has nice colour combination, a mixture of pink, coral and orange. A nice scent too, sort of fruity scent. WalferdangeĀ Gruss an AachenĀ
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth
