I think of it as my heat-tolerant ‘Rhapsody in Blue’ @owd potter. I suspect the latter is the better rose but it would fry here.

Ah, just noticed your location @Uff so the chop is probably a good choice!

I have just found this thread for the first time.

Wow,  441 pages.  Maybe it is a bit too vague and rambling for me, but I'll see.  Is there any way it could be split into smaller bits?

In June, if I remember, I will post a pic of a rambling rose that came with the property.  After several years I call it "Rambling Rector" but it's anybody's guess.
location: Surrey Hills, England, ex-woodland acidic sand.

Wow @Nollie your Stormy weather is to die for. I ordered Rhapsody in Blue instead,  but if it fry here I keep in mind SW (or maybe I’ll buy it all the same, I got a bug for purples now).
Also your salvia is amazing, I am going to see if manage to find it.

Every time I see pictures of your gorgeous Strawberry Hills @Tack I am tempted to go and buy it immediately.

Well we usually split the thread into Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter annually @bédé and it is probably past time to do that. The off-season is usually taken up with talk of new plans, rose orders and winter care. We did consider splitting the main season up but regulars voted to keep it as is for ease of searching/tracking progress. No way of splitting up an existing thread so far as I’m aware, just peruse it a chunk at a time if you are interested. We look forward to seeing your rambler next year 😊

    We do.

How is everyone's roses doing in general. Mine are growing in size, not blooming as much. They are loving the rain and behaving as if it's spring.

Mine are a mixed bag, similar to @WhereAreMySecateurs. Some still blooming merrily on (Julia Child, Cramoisi Superieur) others coming into new growth and a new flush (Munstead Wood, Mme. Antoine Mari) the rest throwing out the odd bloom and a few pretty much given up.

@Mr. Vine Eye as the current custodian, do you agree we should start the ROSES: Autumn/Winter 2022-3 thread? Any volunteers who haven’t hosted it before? That rules me out but not you WAMS 😆

Does anyone fancy starting a new autumn/winter thread?

You should, @Fire, as you are a terrific hostess on the dahlia thread.🌺

What are the roses you have seen posted here this year that are working their way into your bareroot list? So many. I think Blue for You, after seeing (I think) @purplerallim's. I think it was @Omori who posted a stunning pic of Charles de Mills. And @Tack's Strawberry Hill... and too many others.

And of course Marlorena's whole garden is one huge source of inspiration. I am going to try "Mutabilis."
