I recall your Gret’s Joy was pink at times Imprevu and wondered if Marc may be the same, perhaps I should trial it and report back!
Some pics of the big border in the West Garden. This needs a serious rethink since many perennials were a disaster this year, maybe forget the perennials and plant more tough, drought-tolerant shrubs. The empty obelisk has a slowly dying Warm Welcome on it:
Looking the other way, the semi-double red rose is Cramoisi Superieur:
Cramoisi creates a good splash of colour but never photographs well for some reason:
A few other things from the East..

I’m so pleased with this shrubby salvia, So Cool Pale Blue, very floriferous and spreading nicely along the low stone wall:
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
I am still cross with DA about their Bring Me Sunshine rose so am not looking at their sale. Luckily I already have all the DA roses that I want and as the years go by I prefer others. An exception is Strawberry Hill. I do hope it does well for you @Lizzie27, mine is still blooming away with perfectly healthy foliage, I do need to do more tieing in but it isn't very fragile. What interesting roses you choose Victoria Sponge, that Grace is wow. That is a particularly fine set of rose pics there Eustace.
Marc looks a lovely rose Nolly, your tastes are now veering even towards coral. I'll look out for that Salvia.
I may rethink balcony roses, it really was too hot this summer and damaged a lot of foliage. They are coming good again now with lots of fresh greenery. Claire Marshall, Midsummer'sND and Desdemona
Other potted roses keep on keeping on Odyssey, Proper Job, Rose de Rescht and Wildberry
SCPB beats the pants off Blue Note, WAMS, which I got at the same time. BN is a wimpy, heat-shy poor bloomer of a salvia for me.
Well my tastes need to veer right away from coral again, Tack! It says tangerine, not that we can go by that of course, but I thought Marc looked a bit LEH-esque.Â

Can someone advise me on my Sweet Parfum de Provance that I bought earlier this year please? It's sent a new shoot up that looks out of proportion with the rest of the plant that has barely grown at all so should I prune it back to the same height as the rest of the stems or leave it. The whole plant is still in perfect condition.Â
I’ve got a new one this year too @Uff (it has many names, I call it Dee-Lish) and it’s natural Hybrid Tea habit is to throw out long, upright canes. It also looks like it is struggling for space to grow amongst the fleabane at the bottom. I would let it flower on that long stem first then cut it down to size, but you can cut it down now if you want, it’s really up to you.

There aren't any buds on the long stem and I suspect there won't be anymore on any of the other short stems this year Nollie so I'll cut it down then. at least it will look tidier and less wind rock.
@Eustace, sweet honey, @Victoria Sponge perfumed dreams. Those are 2 lovely blooms. I'm really becoming quite enamored of single and semi double flowers with a nice show of stamens
