Bare root from Peter Beales in potted up in January. First flower today! Another three buds will open tomorrow. Glad we do not have the heat and drought that everyone is suffering from. It is such a shame that the roses are crisping and not lasting the way they should. Many thanks for posting all the beautiful photos. At least the blooms are captured at their best.
@cooldoc I bought Summer Song mainly for its colour. I love orange roses, Super Trouper being another orange one. The flowers are slightly smaller than Golden Celebration (I don't have jubilee celebration) and Young Lycidas; those flowers in the lower branches do droop, but I have a few flowers which are upright too. Mine is only in its first season, so will wait for it to grow sturdy canes next year. The scent to smell-challenged me is strong tea. I do not get the 'ripe banana' note that DA website states. HTH. I think @newbie77 has both SS and JC.

And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth
Actually, my rose was from my daughter, delivered direct to me quicker than anticipated so that means the one from my sister is yet to come. Both presies so doubly blessed. DA also included their small Rose catalogue - dangerous! Most of my roses are still in bloom with Royal William and Claire Austin still looking good. The two Nathalie Nypels are full of flowers but these have gone very pale pink due to the heat. GJ gone over but Winchester Cathedral still going, as is Margaret Merrill. Sorry no pics, but it's rather a faff on my phone.
@Veilchenblau .. You might find this speculation interesting, so just to say regarding the breeding of 'Snow Goose', [which isn't officially declared], whilst it certainly will go back to 'Blush Noisette', I suspect the more immediate Noisette line is from a rose called 'Alister Stella Gray', which is a Tea/Noisette, and can struggle in coldest parts. Due to its 19thC Tea ancestors, it may produce seedlings which are slightly tender in the UK.. Whilst larger growing, it resembles very much an earlier Austin - still available - called 'Francine Austin', and I imagine they have similar breeding.. You can see the similarity..
@Marlorena Sorry for the delayed reply,  I’ve been rather busy these past few days (mainly trying to water the garden) thank you for this info, I can certainly see a very close resemblance!Â
I think I actually slightly prefer the growth of Snow Goose to Blush Noisette, mainly because  it seems to hold on to its flowers for a bit longer. I seem to be constantly dead heading my Blush Noisette, even some unopened buds seem to be turning brown …maybe it needs more water .
Tranquillity was glowing in the moonlight last night. It's such a pretty rose and if the total lack of scent doesn't bother you, @Veilchenblau, you should definitely get one!
@WhereAreMySecateurs Thank you, the lack of scent would be ok at the front for me.Â
Lichfield Angel (I find this rose beautiful but insanely floppy and in need of a constant support)Â
Ebb Tide: (second flush)
Iceberg
First flower from the second flush appeared today.
Lady of Shallot (pic taken on Tuesday,  my newest rose, only planted two weeks ago. I have not created that flower bed yet, so she’s just in a hole in the front lawn for now) Â
Collage of a few HT roses: @cooldoc Summer Song for you. Edited to add that the colour is more orangey-red in reality. And trusty Ebbtide, in spite of the mildew nearby.

Here is some comparision of Jubilee Celebration and Summer Song. Both are in their third year. Jubilee Celebration flowers droop more, almost like fuschia at the moment (they are slightly better when watered more). Summer song flowers are droopy too but not that much. Â
Now the shrub itself, Jubilee celebration 3 year old has grown into a shrub, I have given it some support as you can see but overall it looks like a shrub. The one in pot is not grown as much but still ok.
Summer song on the other hand doesnt bush out for me. There are three summer songs plus a Carolyn Knight here in middle.Â
What it does is throws out a 4-5 feet cane and flowers on top. I cut that cane down to 1-1.5ft after picking flowers for vase in the hope it would branch but no, it will grow a single (or two if i am very lucky) new cane again from that cut, which will reach that 4-5 feet height and flower on top. Sometimes it throws out a tiny weeny weak basal shoot and that flowers at tip too.
Young Lycidas is droopy too but flowers in large clusters and bushes out on pruning.
Sometimes I wonder if I have weaken the plant by hard pruning. I am thinking now I will leave it as it is after flowering and see if that helps.
