Amazing collection of roses @Rojas they seems also very healthy.
I love your purples @Nollie … and wishlist growing, now I want more and more purple! I look particularly at your posts since I think we have kind of similar weather and, anyway, more similar to mine than that of UK’s.
Your Ebb Tide may be tiny, but it’s still beatiful
@dabolem I soak bareroots for about 3 or 4 hours. They normally arrive midmorning in the post and then I try to get them planted before nightfall (4/5pm the same day). Bareroots are a bit easier to plant than potted.
(I have worse than usual luck with being slapped with import duties and VAT and so on on parcels from overseas, or I would try a TCL order. I am an immigrant so already pay thousands of pounds to the British government in visa fees and the NHS surcharge (for a service I have never been able to access)...  the extra postage fees just tip me over the edge into gibbering rage!)
I find that bareroots develop much better root systems compared to the bought-potted ones. I soak them for at least a day before planting the bareroots. On certain occasions, I have left them in a bucket of water for days together and they do not seem to be affected adversely.

I don’t think it matters too much how long you soak them @dabolem, anything from 3 hours to 3-4 days is fine. The main thing is to fill a large bucket up to the brim and make sure the grafts are under the water. Keep them is a cool shady place and prepare your planting hole before taking them out the bucket so the roots don’t dry up. If TCL have what you want, no need to pay more. The minimum postage cost is usually higher with TCL, so it’s more economical to buy a greater number - always a good excuse 😆Â

I have bought lots of roses from TCL. Had couple of them mislabeled and got 2 freebies. Some had been not so great when delivered but for the price I can't fault them. Everything eventually grew fine. I didn't even soak them, left them in garden shed in packaging for 2-3 days after delivery and they were still ok. Roses are strong plants when it comes to survival.Â
Yes +1 to get everything you like in their listing in one big orderÂ
I think delivery is much quicker to the UK than it is to here newbie, so mine always need a good soak as they can be trundling through the French/Spanish post for up to 10 days.
Since I am scaling back and have got rid of a lot of roses, I managed to restrain myself and keep my TCL order to only 5 roses that I know for certain I have space for. It was still less than €50 even with the postage. Unfortunately there is always the option to add to your order later, so I am not going to look again. No, I’m not. Definitely. Honest!!

I would love to get a few more bareroot roses, but I have no space at all. So will wait until the end of this season to see what I can give away before making an order. I'm curious to see your lists 🙂

A huge rose order sounds exciting but also daunting...
I would also like to know what people already have on order.🤓Â
