I think your posts were perfectly sensible and well thought out @JennyJ , and my reply to @Simone_in_Wiltshire was merely a reflection on the inevitable turn this subject always takes when it appears every year.  ;)

@Obelixx is right though. There's not much point in any kind of debate about the programme content, if it doesn't reach the ears it needs to reach.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Even if it reaches them, do/ would they listen?

I'm looking forward to it coming back.  What I like most is discussions on specific plants and I would love to see more visits to plant nurseries which feature different varieties of plant and how to care for them.

I would like that too @didyw, but would the BBC think it was advertising?

I love GW, even the bits that I'm not interested in and the fact that Monty's voice is soporific. Always miss it when it's gone for winter. I turned on the TV on Friday - only to find I was a week early!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    ...
They wouldn't have to give the name of the nursery if that counted as advertising. Most of us could probably work it out with the help of Mr. Google and maybe a question on here.

I'm so sorry my comments earlier have caused upset. I need to realise we can all have differing viewpoints and have a right to express them and I should not  dismiss them in any way.
I hope the new series offers something for everyone and that all gardeners  have a wonderful gardening season, abated and abetted by this wonderful forum and the sound and knowledgeable advice given.
Oh and a lot of sunshine!

I do love GW; it's so gorgeously produced and there's usually a very good mix of content. Don't like a segment? Fast-forward it.
