  • Good morning all.  Thank you Lily.  Another bright sunny day.  Chive, as Lily says, it will have been lovely to spend more time with mum.  I’ve just made some tea.  I’ve to pick up dads bandages and dressings today from the practice before visiting.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Hello everyone ... been awol for a couple of days :o ...  finding a locksmith who tried  unsuccessfully to fix the lock on the big sliding door leading from the studio out to the garden ... sadly it needs a new lock (he says in 30 years in the trade he's never come across a sliding door as big as that ... nearly as wide as a garage door.) ... he's managed to find a supplier with one that'll do the job and will come and fit it as soon as it arrives ... think it's got to travel across Europe so ........... OH has been at home as well so we've been doing stuff in the garden ... however he's back at work today and I've been doing hwk 😱 and making bread 'cos we'd totally run out ... a lovely white milk loaf is proving as I type ... hopefully it'll be out of the oven and cool enough to slice by the time I'm desperate for some lunch.

Now I'd better read back and find out what you've all been up to ... hope everyone's ok  :)and able to enjoy this sunshine 🌞

It’s really warmed up this afternoon it’s beginning to feel like spring, although forecasters have said a cold spell might be on its way.  Rubee enjoy your ginger beer.  Dove I was baking bread yesterday, enjoy yours. Time for some tea.  Hazel it’s good you had a better nights sleep.  LB I hope the packings going well.  I’m sure he’ll be happy for the help.  Lily I’ve been looking at Pilates and yoga.  I’ve found a plug in heated mat which takes you through different programmes starting for beginners up to a more flexible experienced routine.  You can put it on the bed and it heats up and you can even put a throw over you to keep in the heat and it stretches out your muscles and apparently relieves pain by inflating and moving different parts of your body. I’ve been feeling very stiff and looking to do an exercise routine at home for quite some time.  When I arrived at the practice they only had the bandages and I had to request the dressings so I’ll be going back tomorrow to pick them up.

Good afternoon everyone. Well, I am well and truly cream crackered now. Hazel I think you are right - I won't need rocking to sleep tonight. Thank goodness for a nice day with all the running around we have done.
I hope that all has gone well with Chive's Mum's And Yvie's OH's appointments today. Yvie, that is one heck of an appointment.
Debs, what part of Malta did your sons go to? My Mum and Dad lived there for several years before the grandchildren started to arrive when they decided to come back home. They had a villa on the Santa Maria estate in Mellieha. I loved it when they lived there as it meant I could go on holiday for 6 weeks every year during the summer. We used to holiday there before they decided to buy a villa and the buzzing place was Bugibba. Malta is a bit of a marmite place. We loved it but have heard lots of people who weren't that keen. The Maltese are lovely, friendly people and were very pro British.
Ruby, I hope that the boiler is now completely sorted for you.

I've had a busy gardening day. I've finished planting the Jewel bed, planted rose "Arthur Bell" by the fence next to the 3 other yellow roses and I've weeded and dug the future potato patch. I've also put up a couple more rows of wire on the posts for the Tayberries which I planted last year. They have got quite long and needed training along a support.

@Ladybird4 I went on holiday in 1999 to Bugibba in Malta. My husband had recently died and my sister booked it for me and my children to go with her family. My children were between 15 and 23 at the time and we were all suffering from shock at his sudden death, heart attack. It was very hot, 41° in the shade, I felt I could hardly breath. We spent a lot of the time in the sea and did sight seeing at 6am. Too hot to see Valetta. Bugibba didn't have a beach, just rocks. Unfortunately dogs had made a mess of them but we had hired a couple of cars, loads of potholes, so we could go to a beach.

Hi folks, picked Hubby up from the hospital at 4.15 and got home at 5.30.  Traffic was awful.  The consultant said his eyes haven't got any worse and wants to see him again in a few weeks.  Hope that appointment wont last all day.  Bestie came round for a cuppa and we sat in the garden.  Also managed to edge the front lawn.
