Evening everyone, @Rubee do hope that everything is sorted with the boiler for you, it's been a long time getting fixed. @bluebellsintherain shame the dressings for your Dad weren't there with bandages and you have to go back again tomorrow. That heated mat sounds interesting, I think OH would like one of those. @Ladybird4 sounds like you've had a very busy day. @Yviestevie glad OH appointment went well, that was a very long day. And then getting stuck in traffic π€¦ββοΈ have a restful evening. @Songbird-1 sounds like you've had a busy day too. Hasn't the wear been beautiful again π @Ante30 you've had beautiful sunny weather too. Love Dahlias, especially Cafe au lait...must try those this year. Enjoy your meal. @Busy-Lizzie your jewel garden sounds gorgeous, would love to see a photo when they are all in bloom. @Chivetalking hope all went well with your mum's appointment. Have a lovely evening everyone.
LB and Lily my arms are aching a bit .I wonβt be digging rocks for a little while .Had quite a busy time in the garden this afternoon. I have purchased some little planters with curved handles that will hang up . I will hang them in my little sitting area. They are to put some bedding plants in . Bedding plants donβt do very well in the ground here. Ante , ginger beer is very tangy quite thirst quenching. You can buy alcoholic or none alcoholic .I buy the none alcoholic . I am hoping the boiler settles down . For many years when we have drawn hot water the boiler has tripped . This has been intermittent occasionally every day .Fingers crossed that will have been sorted .
Busy, I am sorry that you had to experience Malta in that extreme heat whilst you were all probably numb with shock. All my times there were full of interesting things to do and see. I particularly liked the old capital Mdina and going to see the artisans at work - the glass blowers were fascinating and I've got many pieces of Mdina glass.
RosieBB, what a faff having to return to the Doc's again. You'd think that they could coordinate things properly!
Yvie, that sounds like a nightmare! A long, long day. Bet your OH was bored out of his skull hanging about.
Yay Ante! At last a lovely day for you. we have been quite excited by our last few days when it has really felt like Spring has arrived.
Debs I love your picture which sums up Spring so well. Not seen any lambs in the fields as yet and the only chicks I've seen have been on TV. It would definitely be tea for me though
Ruby, your planters sound ideal for bedding plants and will surely add a lovely pop of colour in your garden.
I am signing out for tonight. I hope I DO sleep Hazel. See you all tomorrow people.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
@Ladybird4 they went to Valletta absolutely loved it, people friendly food delicious and so much to see. They even had a pint in the pub where Oliver Reed( moms heartthrob) had his last drinks.Β
I donβt believe it . I came upstairs and looked in the boiler cupboard .I found half a bucket of water and quite a fast drip under the boiler .So pleased we left the bucket under the boiler otherwise Β the water would have been dripping through the dining room ceiling .OH insisted on contacting the engineer tonight . He told him to turn the water to the boiler off until tomorrow. We are getting a tad fed up . Night night everyone .
Good morning all. Early start today still feeling disgruntled that I have to work when the weather is nice and the garden is calling to me roll on the weekend!Β
Rubee hope you can finally get the boiler sorted out today itβs been quite a saga hasnβt it?Β
Hope everyone slept well and has a lovely garden day planned.
Good morning Debs and all later arrivals. Ruby - I don't believe it! That wretched boiler. Just when you thought it was all mended. You get the scream today:
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I brought a big clump of Oriental Poppies from my brother's garden yesterday. (He had told the Estate Agent that two plants would be going from the garden - a Just Joey rose bought in 1996 for my Mum in memory of my Dad who passed away then and the poppies). I planted the clump when I got home yesterday, along with another large clump I got from that famous auction site. I kept everything crossed as I know poppies are not keen on being moved but I've had a quick peek this morning and both clumps are looking good. I dug up Just Joey and planted him in a large pot ready to be moved tomorrow. I do hope this elderly rose moves easily.

Will keep everything crossed π€π€ @debs64 sorry you have to work today, hope you can play in the garden tomorrow. Forecast for the weekend is good for you.
Looks like we'll have another sunny day here too, there was a slight frost this morning.Β Have a good day everyone.
