Good afternoon all. Chive - I could hug you! I kept looking at these new leaves coming through in 5 pots that silly me had forgotten to label and your question this morning made it all clear as to what they are - my Eryngiums! Yes, signs of growth, little leaves appearing so thank you so much for your prompt!
I made a trip to 'sco this morning and a beautiful, large Dianthus begged to be taken home. As usual it was flagging through lack of water and I just had to rescue it. I've transplanted it into a bigger ceramic pot and given it a good drink. It is covered in buds waiting to break open and smells absolutely delicious.
Before repotting in the ceramic pot.

Busy, I have done like you and had Lily's TV on the go. Wet cloth things are blowing nicely in the breeze.
SGL, I hope your OH has enjoyed his meet up with his friend and did you manage to get out for your walk? I must apologise too SGL, you asked if I had kept anything of Dad's from the case and the answer is no, I didn't. My home has many things that my Dad bought for me and uniform items would just be hung in a wardrobe.
I had to do a lot of watering in the green house today and my seedlings that I pricked out are looking fine - if still a bit teeny.
Hazel I still have to sow my Californian Poppy seeds. Another task I will be doing soon.
Biglad, look who called round here today:
It was running around so the legs look a little blurred. So nice to see in the garden though.

Afternoon everyone, what a beautiful day it’s been,
I had wet things on the line too Busy and they all dried I hope yours have too. Sorry to see you were feeling  under the weather while looking after your grandson, I hope you are fully recovered now,
Hazel Sorry to read you didn’t sleep well last night, but have had a nice trip to the GC this morning. Dianthus pinks are lovely, you have a nice selection to plant. Hope you find the Coreopsis seeds you want, it will be cheery to see those Californian poppies flower,
LB I’m so pleased to have helped you and to hear your shoots are growing too 😊 What a pretty Dianthus, it looks like a decent sized plant with flowers ready to open that was a good rescue. Lovely to see the 🐞
SGL Lovely day for a walk I hope you enjoyed doing that and OH has had a good catch up chat with his friend,
I’ll be going to mums for the night as she has an early appointment tomorrow  and it makes things easier to drive straight from there.
Hope you all have a nice evening.

Hello Hazel, you weren't there when I posted. I'm so glad that you had a nice trip to the garden centre and it seems that you got a great selection of plants. Honestly, some people haven't the brains they were born with! What a twonk throwing that pastie out of the car window - with no thought that it might just have caused an accident. Grrrrr!
Chive that sounds like good sense - stopping overnight at your Mum's. I hope all goes well with her appointment tomorrow.

It's been such a beautiful sunny day today.
I also had washing on the line that dried. Live seeing washing outside.  Did a few other unmentionable things and then had lunch. OH enjoyed his catch up with his friend  and I enjoyed a leisurely walk this afternoon. It was so warm i didn't wear a coat.
Sounds like you've all had a lovely day either in the garden, visiting a GC and buying plants. That's a very pretty and healthy bargain you found @Ladybird4 It's lovely you have lots of items of your dad LB.  Can understand not keeping uniform......it must feel very special knowing they are now in a museum. I just wondered if you kept a small item from the case, such a lovely story of it being found.
@Songbird-1 hope you find the seeds your looking for. Sounds like you bought a lovely haul of plants.
@Busy-Lizzie Hope you're feeling better now and you get your new laptop back soon.
@Chivetalking have a lovely evening chatting with your mum. Hope all goes well  with her appointment tomorrow.

Time to get something to eat.
    Have a lovely evening everyone

Thank you, Chive, yes, I'm fine now. My washing is now dry and put away.

I sowed perpetual spinach, weeded the Jewel Bed and planted 3 plants in it. 7 more to plant tomorrow.

    Evening all,

I decided to knock off work at 2pm and spent the afternoon outside with a paintbrush in my hand. Three sheds and two planters later :o

I've put it on a separate thread but I got my box of dahlia tubers out of the shed for a look. All ok apart from the two that I'd grown from seed. One of those is a manky, mouldy embarrassment and I'm not sure the other will be viable either :( At least all the shop-bought ones look healthy. Might stick them in pots tomorrow.

No sign of my little visitor @Ladybird4

Maybe mine has flown west to you!

It’s been another lovely day .Hope everyone has enjoyed it . Yesterday I managed to dig up some large rocks that i am going to use as an edge for one of my borders .Had time to cut several plants back and planted some primroses in containers .Busy I haven’t had much luck with vegetables .My garden has high hedges and the garden is very small . I grow lots of perennials which are happy where they are planted but veg is a different story. Lily it must have been lovely to go for a walk without your coat .That’s amazing when you consider it’s only March. Hazel I am pleased that you bought some lovely plants. I hope you find the seeds that  you want.LB love the pic .I saw a ladybird today the first time this year .Chive that is a good idea . You can spend time with Mum and going for her appointment will be easier .I hope the appointment goes well .

Evening all, Been on Nanna Duty today looking after the boys.  It was such a lovely day, hope we get a few more so that I can get into the garden.  Have to take Hubby to have his eyes checked tomorrow.  He needs to be at there at 8.45 and they say he might not get away until 4.30 in the afternoon.  Might drop him off and go back and pick him up later. It's hard to get parking and the seats in hospital waiting rooms don't do my back any favours.  The only problem is that it's quite a drive, especially at rush hour.
I leave my dahlia's in the garden, just give them a good mulch.  I occasionally lose one but I can't be bothered to dig them all up and plant them out again.
