  • Good afternoon.Β
I've been a bit poorly so haven't felt much like writing anything. I feel better today, although the rain is trying to put a damper on my mood!
I hope the boiler is sorted soon, Rubee.
    Wishing everyone well.

Unfortunately that option would probably prove too expensive for our budget @Topbird If the solution is too expensive then it would probably be cheaper just to run the heaters.Β  Not in a position just to consider the environment.Β  We have gone for glass in the upper half of the door and I'll keep my fingers crossed re the light.

  • Thank you @Songbird-1
@Yviestevie I was going to suggest bi~folds too and then read Topbirds post.......and then yours.Β  Could you have glazed double doors to keep wide open in the warmer weather or a sliding door?Β
@janetfoss sorry you've been feeling poorly, hope you feel better soon.
@Busy-Lizzie you hadΒ  busy day yesterday, enjoy your meal tomorrow.

It's been very chilly today and rather breezy.Β  Have done a few unmentionable, popped out to see a friend and now back home having a cup of tea.Β

Good afternoon all. Guess who went to 'sco and forgot to use her loyalty coupons AGAIN! Treble twonk!Β  Two clemmies leapt into my trolley on the way round - one called Pink Champagne (yes please!) and one called Candy Stripe. They were only Β£3 each so I thought that was a bargain price. Oddly, there were loads of people in 'sco shopping and I'm wondering if this is the start of panic buying again. It has done nothing but rain here all day again Yvie so you are not on your own there. I do have to say that I am one of those people who does turn off the news. It can get overwhelmingly depressing. Had you given thought to having a completely clear double glazed door between your kitchen and conservatory?

The left hand side of the conservatory is brick almost to the top and the door will open against that and will probably stay open for most of the spring and autumn and all of summer.Β  I expect that it will only be closed in the coldest of months so I think it will be ok.Β  If it was all glass then we would need to go double glazed to get any heat retention and that again would push up the price a lot.

    Afternoon all.

LB, now you have excuse to visit SM again, and maybe purchase few more clemmies.Β . Where are you going to plant all of them ? πŸ˜‚

Janet, I'm sorry that you feel poorly. Hope that you will soon be better.

Hazel, I completely understand your OH. I already sowed chillies, peppers, old tomatoes seeds and few more things.

I done all my chores and now is relaxing time. It has been sunny whole day, but freezing. Now is around zero.Β

Janet, I was so sorry to hear that you have been feeling poorly but then glad to read you were feeling a little better. Rain has definitely put the dampener on my activities today. I did manage to do a little planting out yesterday when I was lulled into thinking Spring had sprung. As I drove down to 'sco I was delighted to see lots of pink and white blossoms just beginning to appear on the trees - joyous!

Hope all those feeling poorly or down feel better soon though this awful weather won’t help. Pouring down here and only me at home, menfolk at work. Curtains are drawn, candles lit and wine poured. Bit of tea while I watch an old Poirot then an early night.Β
Lunch yesterday was pleasant. Just a pity to waste such a beautiful day indoors.Β
