I went outside in the end and weeded the bean area in the vegetable garden then sowed a double row of broad beans. About 3/4 of the beans I sowed in the autumn have survived the winter. They never did at my last house.

A deer has been in the garden and eaten rose shoots 😢 First time that has happened, little hoof prints in the borders.

Sounds like you've all been busy enjoying the sunshine today.

R-a-a-f duties were very warm and I knew I shouldn't have been so confident about not getting any grief - not a peep from any parents or coaches as predicted. The players were also good as gold for 78 mins (out of 80), then one of the little beggars decided to call me a cheat :o He was advised in no uncertain terms to cease and desist :D Honestly, as if I give a monkey's toss who wins! Incompetent? Probably. Old and fat? Definitely. A cheat? That's fighting talk ;)

Hope the weather repeats tomorrow - loads to do and a full, free day to do it.

Busy, I know that it isn't a welcome visitor but how nice to know that you have wildlife like deer around. Luckily they cannot get into my garden and soon - if the building plans get passed they won't have anywhere to go. That makes me quite sad really.
The cheeky little whipper snapper Biglad! Who'd be a referee eh? Obviously it has its benefits though. I am bracing myself now for Le Crunch.

    Enjoy the match LB!

BL - I feel your pain re the deer. Muntjac are regular visitors around here and they can do a heck of a lot of damage over the course of just a couple of nights. They love roses, viburnum and euonymus and can strip a plant in one sitting😡

  • Lily Happy Birthday to your son, hope he enjoyed his day.  A lovely sunny day, pottering today.  Goodnight everyone.

    Good morning all.

I came home late yesterday and didn't have time to pop in here. Everything passed well and I was also able to come inside facility. Visits are restricted on one hour.
Sunny and cold morning with high wind. This wind is already PITA. Well, I can do nothing about that, just make cup of tea and stay inside. Buns are in the oven, I got idea from Rosie and her baking yesterday.

    Have a lovely Sunday.
