Hello everyone RosieBB and all to follow. Hello there Pauline - hadn't spotted you until I saw SGL's post. Hope that you are keeping well.
Ante, I know its not your favourite day so I hope it seems to pass nice and quickly for you.
Oh no Ruby, not another boiler problem! Hope your engineer gets it sorted soon. We may get more cold weather yet so the boiler is essential.
I hope everyone has everything they need for Pancake Day tomorrow!

Good morning Rosie, LB and all to follow.

Thank you so much T'bird and Dove for kind words. I'm completely ignoring that message, and I'll for certain stay here with all of you, kind and lovely friends.

Rubee, sorry to hear that you again have a boiler issues. Hope it soon will be sorted.

LB, pancake day 🤤. We traditionally, like in northern Italy, make frittelle on Shrove Tuesday. I have something else on my mind for tomorrow. Lidl is stoked with new seeds and summer flowers, so I'll go to a little visit 😁.

Calm and freezing morning. My pond is again frozen. I'll join Rosie with cup of tea, then must go to the school. I'm so glad that it's last day of February, maybe weather improves in March.

Have a nice day and see you all later.

Good morning Ante. After yesterday's dry day it is now back to normal here = lots of rain! Grrr! We say here that 'March comes in like a lion, goes out like a lamb' so we may have to wait a bit before we get some settled weather.
I have my tea RosieBB so cheers to you both!

    Morning all.

Sorry about your boiler problems Rubee. I hope it's fixed very soon.

@Songbird-1, not a good idea, it isn't heated.

I think I was a bit absent yesterday. Not a lot to say. Watching the news is depressing but want to know what is happening. We are ticking along, bit of gardening, bit of UM (unmentionables), occasional beer in a pub, trips to SMs and GCs, phone calls with families. We are going to lunch in a pub tomorrow.

Hi folks,  Had a new pressure gauge fitted to our boiler last week @Rubee We had three days without heating and hot water, luckily we have a wood burner so we could at least keep warm.
The news is really depressing, but like you @Busy-Lizzie I need to know what's happening.  I wish I could be the type of person who could just switch it off but I can't.
Have just sent a text to the carpenter to try and arrange a date to get a door fitted between the kitchen and the conservatory.  We don't use the heaters in the conservatory and the kitchen can get quite cold in the winter so we are hoping a door will keep the heat in.  I hope I don't regret it as I like the open look of the two rooms.
It's forecast to rain all day today so no gardening.

Afternoon all - thermometer says it's quite mild - my hands say it's not....

SM this morning and just ordered some flowers to send to MIL for Mother's Day. Had an offer on so thought we may as well use it.

Rubee - hope the cupboard has dried out ok and it's not too long before they can do a full and final fix on your boiler.

@Yviestevie - sounds like a sensible option to be able to close off the conservatory to retain heat. Have you considered something like fully glazed bifold doors which you can fold right back if you want the room to be completely open, but you still get a view right through when they're closed?
