Good morning Rosie, SGL, LB, debs and all to follow.

I see that some of you were awake very early. Hope that you will have restful day. Sunny and cold morning, at least no wind or snow. I already done quick SM shopping and now have my tea. After school I'll go to cottage and see can I do something around.

Wish you all nice and restful day.

@star gaze lily Elizabeth is supposed to have a lovely scent so that’s me convinced. I got bare root and discount code but yes prices have definitely gone up. I had my £25 key deposit back from the allotment so I treated myself and hope Elizabeth will remind me of my allotment

@debs64 I buy bare root ones too, as a little bit cheaper 😉  what a lovely treat to yourself, a beautiful reminder of your allotment ⚘ It looks a beautiful rose 😍

Morning all. An earlier start as my car has gone in for service and MOT. Fingers crossed they don't find anything untoward...

OH collected the m/home yesterday and got it home without further incident. The garage who mended it refused to take any further payment even though they undertook a few hours extra labour plus and arranged for an exhaust filter to be cleaned by a specialist firm. They've been good and I wish they were just down the road - would definitely make them our regular garage.

Next job is to give the vehicle a good clean inside and out and then we're going to try and sell it to a dealer. Neither of us feel we can fully trust it for long journeys. It's probably absolutely fine now that the exhaust system has been completely stripped and replaced - but there would always be that nagging doubt.

LB - how lovely to hear you will receive a memento of Joyce. She had some nice things - do you remember that beautiful curvy sideboard she bought a few years ago? It was even nicer 'in the flesh' than the pictures . Her garden was lovely and she made some very good crafty pieces - she had quite an artistic bent. Still miss her posts.

Hazel - sorry to hear about OH's tooth. I've got one like that - a lot more filling than tooth - always a worry when tackling pork crackling and nuts....

BL - what can I say? So, so sorry to hear there is yet another delay for OH's operation. Hope you get another appt very soon. Guess respiratory and oncology are the 2 clinics where they really can't risk patients catching Covid.

    Morning all.

Elizabeth looks a lovely rose. As it's my name I would like one for my French garden but it isn't in the Europe catalogue. Thanks to Brexit, I can't take roses to France anymore  :'(

We are going to friends for dinner tonight. Mustn't forget to give them the frozen sloes that the friends we went to stay with gave us to give them. The sloes have been forgotten 3 times so far, by them and us.

Afternoon all, I'm shattered.  Been in the garden all morning and everything is aching at the moment.  Hoping I'll be able to get up for art class in the morning.
Sorry to hear about your OH's cancellation BL.  You must both be very fed up about it.
Not an early start for me.  Took a Nytol last night as I really needed a good night and slept like a log.
Don't blame you for selling the motorhome Topbird things like that can be such a drain on resources and you need to have confidence in them.
For the rest of the day I will be mainly sofa surfing.

    Don't overdo it, Yvie Stevie.

I've had my hair cut by my favourite hairdresser. I've been trimming it myself for the last few months.

Evening everyone, I was up & out early today as going to see mum this morning and then after work I went to the refuse centre (no queue 🥳) then to the SM, feels like an action packed day after spending the past week in isolation.
Bluebells I hope your day has gone well and you managed to have an extra sleep,
LB How lovely to hear from Sameena, those paintings will be a special memory for you of Joyce,
Rubee I hope all has gone to plan with the plumber today and the boiler is fixed. I’m sure you’ll get back to your crochet when you have a chance too,
Ante I hope you found everything at the cottage was ok when you visited this afternoon,
Topbird Such a shame how things have worked out with your motorhome, will you get another one?
Debs The rose is a lovely reminder of your allotment, hope work went smoothly today is your pharmacist back?
SGL It will be nice to get a climber with the offer, such a lot to tempt you when you start looking through any specialist sites,
Hazel I hope the texts you received this morning weren’t too upsetting, a gentle pottering day can be a welcome chance to unwind,
Yvie I hope you’ve recovered from the garden this morning and will be looking forward to the art class tomorrow.
Busy Enjoy your evening I hope you remembered to take the Sloes with you after all 😊
    Have a nice evening everyone.

Good evening everyone. I have had an interesting day with Sameena. Here are the water paintings that she brought for me from Joyce's (plus half a a dozen books on crochet as she had remembered me saying I was starting, like Ruby, to learn how to do it).

T'Bird, the curvy sideboard has been promised to Sameena's cousin. Poppies were Joyce's favourite flowers and there were lots of examples of poppies in Sameena's house.
