What a beautiful sunny day. Windows open and the heating turned off.
@Busy-Lizzie @bluebellsintherain and @Chivetalking really pleased with my haircut. It had grown so much since last haircut. It looks really nice, shame I wasn't going out anywhere 😉😂😂
I also spent some time in the garden this afternoon, the sun was quite warm. Weeded and general tidy in the garden. The grass was still too wet to cut though.
@Busy-Lizzie hope you manage to open your door when you get home at the weekend.
Night night everyone, sleep well. See you in the morning
  • Good morning all.  Just about to put the kettle on.  Quite cool.  Heated cape on and Alfie sleeping by my side.

Good morning @bluebellsinthewild and all to follow. Dry here hoping it lasts as I am babysitting for Thomas and have promised to plant the rose I bought for my daughters birthday in her garden. She is quite capable but says I have the magic touch where roses are concerned, she gives me too much credit roses are pretty tough I think. I transplanted a load of DA roses from het nans garden whenMIL moved into a flat and they didn’t look good as roses do in November and all are doing well now. Lovely for daughter and for MIL when she visits.

Good morning RosieBB, Debs and all to arrive later. Joining you in a cuppa RosieBB. Debs, it really does sound like you have the magic touch with the roses. They should look stunning later in the year.

I am playing Canasta today so I'm hoping the red sky and strong winds are not a sign of things to come!

Good morning Rosie, debs, LB and all to follow.

Debs, I hope you will have nice time planting rose with your daughter.

LB, have a nice time playing Canasta today. Hope weather will be merciful for you.

Few more hours and weekend can start. Cold and windy morning, but I can see sunshine. Pets are fed, birds are fighting on the feeders and I have my tea.

    Morning everyone,
Looks grey here too after such a gorgeous day yesterday.  I can see a tiny bit of blue sky through the trees at the back of the field so 🤞 but forecast is for rain and storms.
@debs64 enjoy your day with Thomas and planting your daughters rose.
@Ladybird4 enjoy your day playing canasta and chatting with friends.
@Ante30 I'll join you with a cup of tea. Have a good day at work.
@bluebellsintherain hope you slept well, I slept quite heavy and feel a bit muzzy at the moment. Enjoy your snuggle on the sofa with Alfie.
  • Good morning Debs, LB, Ante and Lily.  I fell back to sleep.  Debs your roses sound lovely.  LB enjoy your canasta today, beware of the wind.  Ante it’s good you have fed your furry and feathered friends and Max his walk.  Lily no sun as yet today, looks rather overcast.  Wishing everyone a good day.

@Ladybird4 I am no rose expert but I think the roses which were dug up and planted in November looked so dead that daughter was very dubious about them and I am getting the credit for their natural resilience. They are all flowering beautifully now ( In the summer) and she is amazed. It’s lovely for me to have a gardening chum and we are making plans for a trip to Malvern spring show this year.

Good morning Ante and SGL. Ante, my birds are busy round the feeders too but Princess Lily has not bothered to get out of bed yet.
SGL, I hope that the muzzy head feeling goes away soon.
Debs, I was telling Chey about you having to give up your allotment and he did say - as I suspected - that he would have been there in a flash. He is still waiting for his but has already got some annual seeds to start going with. How lovely to have a show to look forward to as well. Bestie, her daughter and I have still got our tickets for the Southport Flower Show which had to be cancelled twice. That is in August though so still a while off yet.
