And Scotland's lack of restriction on Sunday trading is despite the 'Wee Free' being very vociferous.
but a teeny weeny minority to whom not many folk listen.

Much like the Church of England then.

    Even less significant.

    Oh look another storm :|
I can just keep quoting this instead of typing it again. It'll be a real time saver this winter :#

I hope you get thru it OK @wild edges.  It's suspiciously quiet here today after a filthy start yesterday morning.   12C and a gentle south westerly wind.

Can't last given the winter we've had so far but it's enough to get plants excited and then have a nasty shock when it turns.   Humph!

As a young lad in Edinburgh in the 50s the place was dead as a Dodo on a Sunday. I was not even allowed out to play and all the shops were shut.

North Wales was like that till well into the sixties - camping hols near Abersoch every year and nothing open except the church.

    More Lidl points of note.
Today they had orange labels on reduced items with hand written percentages on them. I wasn't sure if 60% meant 60% of the original price or 60% off. It seemed an odd way to do things. It turned out to be 60% off though. I also hate impromptu maths problems. Just tell me the price. :|
Also they're now making all the staff wear police-style body cameras. It's a sad reflection on modern life.

Body cameras in our Waitrose too. A sad reflection indeed
    Devon.

I don't know which supermarket, or where, but I saw photographs of peeled oranges in plastic containers a couple of days ago.  As was said in the caption, "What's wrong with the original container?"

@Hostafan1 and @wild edges  Are the body cameras in the shops as an aid against theft or is the main reason to try to halt the abuse many shop staff suffer nowadays ?
I've never heard customers being rude/abusive on the odd occasion when I go to a SM but I've certainly seen many reports about it.
