KT53, it's not cutting out light that's the problem,it's leaching out moisture, from a big area. I have read the link, thank you. The trouble is they are at the bottom of his garden, just one is next to ours. There is one equally high at the other side of the fence, outside his garden, not ours,on a small grass area, with a footpath through. I spoke to the council, because the grass hadn't been cut lately, they weren't interested, because they said they don't own this land. You have to proceed with great caution on these things. 30 years ago,we lived next door to a young couple,2 large dogs, never walked,he was away working, she at almost 6ft,and 30, couldn't manage even one, spoke to RSPCA who said dogs don't need walking. I eventually went to the LA because they were barking from 6am often till gone midnight. Council wrote to her anonymously, but she obviously figured it was me. We had asked very nicely if they could put the dogs in the back room.she then started putting the very large poo from these 2 dogs on my garden furniture and throwing it over. Noise nuisance woman from council, suggested me....5 ft,50s working full-time nights walked the dogs for her!!!

Also,if you sell the property, you have to declare it. We were lucky, his dog died, they split up and moved.

They weren't particularly lucky, were they? What an awful set of events for them
    to have to deal with.

Is it totally necessary to start tramping up and down with slurry at ten o'clock at night? Apparently so! That's two nights in a row now. What's wrong with six in the morning like a normal farmer? Hmph? HMPH?!?!?! Sake!

@plant pauper, did you mean ‘for ***** sake’ or a large measure of sake? The latter might get you off to sleep early despite the racket!

In the summer farmers need to make use of every available minute of daylight.  That's particularly true given the weather lately.  Jobs have to be done if we are to eat.

Don't you hate packets of seeds containing the wrong seeds?
And don't you hate it when phone pics are SOMETIMES too large to post?

Serendipitous seeds.  How boring to get just what you paid for. Maybe you can grow a Chinese wildflower and share it with the rest of the country.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

I've sent photos to the supplier.
Tried to post on here, but the file is too big.
