Wow that was an impressive thunderstorm It got so dark my oldest boy asked if it was time for bed. We had a heavy downpour yesterday but this was on another level. Absolutely wild. Sadly it's flattened everything in the garden so I'm waiting to see what bounces back now. It cleared through to bright sunshine and crystal clear sky and the bees and moths were already flying about so they obviously knew how to head for cover.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
I think the storm clipped us - we had a very abrupt, heavy downpour, but no thunder here. My arms are stinging from spending an hour pulling out nettles that are smothering my crocosmia 'lucifer'. Can you still buy calamine lotion?
