    My father's big issue with Chelsea was that many plant combinations were unrealistic. We all know that things like spring bulbs are held back and things like Chrysanthemums, tricked into flowering early, that is obvious.  In the open gardens many less knowledgeable gardeners would not understand some combinations were not achievable in the real world. Yes it demonstrates great skill and ingenuity,  but hardly a "take away idea" .

    You just wait and see Dove, they'll be building concrete fences around our shores to stop people swimming in the sea because it's dangerous  :|

    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
