The farmers are all waiting to cut the fields here including ours but the grass is lying flat.

I remember that … IIRC it was on my Gardening Granny’s birthday.

  • My gripe is about hospital transport today. I'm always told to be ready 4 hours in advance of my appointment, so with an 11:15am appointment today, I aimed to be ready by 7:15am.
Normally I'm panicking because they arrive late - giving about an hour between pickup and appointment. Not relaxing!!
Today, up just before 6am, and two minutes later the phone rings to say the transport is 10 minutes away!!😳😳😳
    PANIC!!!
Arrive VERY early at the hospital, having gone a roundabout route to pick others up. And now there's no-one to sort out my return journey. I might get home by Monday morning, when I have to do it all over again - for a 9am appointment.
Hope they don't turn up at 4am.

Yes please @floralies.   Hot and dry here with a north easterly breeze which is pleasant for us but drying for the plants' foliage.  No rain in view for at least a week.

That's a bummer @rowlandscastle444.  I take it you don't drive.  I have an appointment to see the anaesthetist next Tuesday pm and it's just over an hour's drive away.   We'll leave early tho in case Nantes is still revolting about pension reform.

Weather here is all over the place too.  We had a few days of lovely warm weather, warm enough to sit out in and even start to get a bit of a tan as I do tan easily.  Yesterday and today have been considerably cooler with a stiff breeze.  Forecast for the weekend is good, although I'll believe it when I see it.

Is that because you have the heating on @B3? or do you know something we don't? :o
