Same with children. If you don't want the responsibility, don't have them.
Is there somewhere people can just hand them in? Asking for a friend o:)

Help has arrived. After my delicious steak dinner last week I dipped into the contents of my free meat box again for another break from vegetarian food. The pack of sausages had been tempting me for a while now so I thought I'd give those a go. Luckily they're the type of sausages that turn even dedicated meat eaters into vegans. I can't believe some poor pig died just to end up tasting like a condom full of cardboard. If it wasn't for HP sauce coming to the rescue I'd have been worried I'd caught covid.

I feel like that about my chocolate coloured cocker spaniel sometimes wild edges. He has the most beautiful eyes, is very pretty and loves me to bits but I could murder him some days. How he's reached the age of 7 I'll never know. His latest jape was to plunge into a heap of rotting manure and paddle in the effluent coming out of it.

I know your game @wild edges. Don't look at me - I don't want them. I'm still trying to get rid of mine.... :D
I keep telling my younger daughter that the cheap sausages she likes are full of lips and a***holes, and she says 'that's good - they're making use of the whole animal'.
    Hard to disagree  ;)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I remember reading somewhere that "lips, tails and ars.s" can go into meat products so long as the proportion is no greater than the live animal.

    Not an animal lover then,Hosta.
What about the millions of animals farmed and "processed" into pet food?
Where I lived in Hampshire in the mid 80s, there was a rabbit farm purely for pet food.
The lovely " animal rights " folk threatened to kill the owners , both in their 70s and they ended up selling up and moving away in fear of their lives.
    "Animal lovers"?
    I love wild animals, I just don't get " pets "

You couldn't pay me enough to have another spaniel. My last dog was the same, Welsh Springer spaniel, lovely dog but could only scrape together enough intelligence to get into trouble and not enough to get out of it again.

    Not having a dog because.........
reminds me of a young girl/woman being interviewed on TV years ago at some Green demonstration, and she said she would never have children because the world is overpopulated.
I would love to see her situation now.
