Heavy rain was forecast this morning but all we got was fine spitty drizzle :( . Only 1.5 mm in the rain gauge and not much collected in the water butts.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

Fine rain for hours. Just enough to make the grass grow😐
Caught the petrichor. Is there a better smell? Frying bacon just maybe🤔

Rained here , but just a spit. I've now used all the water in my butts and have 5 empty water butts.  I'll have to do a rain dance at this rate.

I foolishly decided to clean the upstairs windows this evening . I've been bitten on my face and neck and one adventurous sod bit me on the knee. They're probably lurking in the bedroom waiting for seconds😠
Bedroom windows closed at night for the next six months. I hate that😠

Is 'clean the upstairs windows' some kind of euphemism? It sounds like you're having more fun than most though so I won't judge.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
