The second set of plans for next door are due to go before the committee next week. The public pack says the site was visited by the wildlife consultants, who didn't see any deer so that is being discounted.  She walked back and forth across my lawn at 6 this morning.  I've sent the planners the video.  I'm currently steamimg mad that they ignore  all the locals in deference to a quick visit from someone out of county.

Our roofers decided the best time to leave a large hole in the tarpaulin keeping the rain out was overnight with a heavy rain storm predicted. We averaged about half a bucket an hour. From the bedroom ceiling.

The plaster on the ceiling may stay there and dry out. Or not.

I don't even get to bed until 2am some days :D  I don't mind being awake this early when I'm not tired and I have things to do before work. I'm sure I'll pay for it later though. I was hoping to leave home early today and pick up a new office chair on my way to a meeting but it turns out the shop doesn't open until 10am :/  I'm glad I checked or it would have been a long drive out of my way to find out they don't do normal opening hours.

There is a theory that if people have to stand at meetings, they're a lot shorter more focused.

A hospital has been fined £1.3 million following two patient deaths. How on earth will that do anything to improve the situation at the hospital? Where will the money come from? Where will it go?
