I have the same problem @B3, I planted violas before winter in tubs, usually they flower here well throughout but not this year, they a looking lovely now. All I can say is they had better look the worse for wear in a couple of weeks time as I have other plants waiting to go in.  B)

Can you bung those pansies into a gap in your borders, @B3?
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Not really, the clay is rock hard at the moment - maybe if we have a bit of rain😒 @Liriodendron
As floralies says, they've got a couple of weeks to get manky🙄 I f it rains,I'll pop them in the soil somewhere.

I have no idea why they're looking at their phones anyway, whether it be tractors, porn or last night's football scores. It drives me mad when l see it on TV, how can they possibly concentrate on what's going on in the chamber?
If l'd sat at my desk looking at this forum (fascinating though it is) instead of doing what l was paid for, l'd be in front of the manager faster than you could say "Massey Ferguson".

Quite agree @AnniD - if you are sitting in the House of Commons, presumably you are supposed to be "at work".
Easiest answer is just to ban mobile phones/electronic devices within the House.  Let's face it, there's hardly likely to be an emergency ( barring heart attacks) which necessitates an immediate response from any MP whilst in the House.

If he was sober, that has to be a point in his favour perhaps
