    This video footage is amazing but I wish the camera man was a bit less brave :#  The worst injury seems to have been the American who fell off a horse though...
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    My crumudgeon is that we're forecast to only get to 26C today.

    Not only 24° high here, but full cloud this pm and raining Wednesday.
    Our nights have just gone into double figures,  like 10 or 11°

    Set to get to 35C in the shade today.   Bearable as there is a breeze but the clinic has phoned to tell me not to try and walk too much in this heat so I'm stuck on a sofa with the leg raised and ice blocks to cool it down.   Bit frustrating.

    I don't understand people playing on glaciers giving recent news about their behaviour due to global warming.

    Is there anything more likely to make you shudder than accidentally touching MrToad when you're pottering on the patio?
    I do hate it when a 'stone' or a 'dead leaf' jumps.

    I would do a lot more than squeak.  The air would be blue.

    @Hostafan1 the heatwave is here
     30 degrees when I left the Allotments and I was parked under trees.  Unbearable at night at the moment.  I'll have your 24 and rain on Wednesday anytime. @lyn

    Me too @Allotment Boy . Actually 24 is a bit hot for me. 21 would be plenty warm enough. It's been one extreme or the other this year - cold spring and now too hot
