so I can't say I've ever noticed what the packaging has on it  ;)
They aren't very complicated, 'period pain' is always a pink box, obviously, migraines are purple, less obviously. Joint pain either has a picture of a knee on the box or someone with a target painted on their back. It's all the same stuff

    Can't say I've ever noticed @raisingirl:)
No painkillers worked for period pain for me anyway, so I just had to put up with it.

Most of them make it worse, IME. Or give me a headache, which isn't helpful. Hot water bottles and trying not to annoy me are usually the best treatments

My younger daughter gets the same problems - unfortunately I've passed it on to her  ;)
She doesn't get the pains that are like having a poker shoved up yer bahookie though.

They were fun. The one benefit of menopause is not having that b*llocks any more  :D

The only thing that ever clobbered period pain for me was the naproxen that I had on prescription for calcific tendinitis. Fortunately neither has been an issue for a while (fingers and toes crossed).

My mum's cure for my teenage period pain was gin and orange. It worked :)

At least it’s possible to avoid periods these days on certain contraception. At 15 I was told” you will be fine after you have a baby” ….. 6 babies later still suffered the same and yes, I was very happy to start the menopause! I think if men had periods things would be sorted out by now.

Are you saying women aren't up to sorting it?

I meant that the medical profession would have taken it more seriously sooner. I am afraid that menstruation, like the menopause, is not of much interest to a lot of medical men.
