Currys are renowned for being useless beyond belief - especially their so called Customer Service. That doesn't exist at all. I once joined Faceache under a fake name just so that I could call them out on there. The litany of complaints was astonishing, although I think someone mentioned that Resolver option, which helps with complaints when you can't get anywhere with the usual methods. Might be worth trying.
Good luck with it - you'll need more than luck though.  :/

I'd be tempted to tell them where to stuff their measly discount and buy a new one that isn't a Samsung and isn't from Currys.
And what @Fairygirl said - call out both of them on social media, if you can be bothered spending any more time on it. You could copy and paste some of the text from your posts on here :)

I had a similar problem with crapphonewhorehouse. Fortunately, I am a subscriber to Which and was able to threaten them. They sent me enough money to buy a Samsung fridge freezer and I am very happy with it.
I managed to get written confirmation of phone calls which helped as well.

This is the reason I don't buy anything from Curry's. Had similar problems with an expensive microwave. After a couple of months, the inner door was peeling and a gap appearing in right hand casing. 12 months warranty, took it back with receipt. Bloke was really rude, said why hadn't we bought it back within the 30 day return period, because these problems weren't there then. Previously it was an expensive TV,8 months old. Now use John Lewis 5 year warranty
  • Flaming Tesco!!!!

Delivery was planned this morning between 8 and 9am. £110 was taken out of my account about 7am. When it got to 9.05am I checked my email where I discovered I had apparently cancelled my order!

When phoning customer service their answerphone told me that due to the bad weather their delivery service is having problems.

Any way... cutting a long story short I've to wait 3 days for my money to be returned, and the fault was a system failure... now that covers a multitude of excuses.

Got a job to do this morning, I'm checking out Asda delivery and others. Think I must have been a regular customer with Tesco since online shopping started, I've now finally lost faith. Perhaps it's time for a change.

    Rant over  ;)

@Jenny_Aster ... we're getting on very well with Sainsbugs deliveries ... so far 🤞
Morrisons were a total disaster ........ well, sort of, we ended up having to go and collect our order as they failed to deliver, but they had no way of charging us for the goods as it didn't qualify as Click & Collect ... so they waived the bill ....... but I don't suppose that would happen more than once ... and it was so chaotic I'm not risking it again.

Waitrose , it's the way to go.
IMHO Tesco are an utterly vile organisation who would screw their suppliers' ears to the floor to get another penny discount.

I'm not sure I'd get away with saying what I REALLY think of them

  • I can't say what I think of T'sco on a public forum ... my family have to find a market for their produce ... suffice to say I try not to buy anything from T'sco.
