We have just taken delivery of a new ceramic wash basin, not sure how much water it will hold as it was all in pieces 🙄

I had to take the car down to our local garage this morning for MOT and service. I was 15 mins too early to be able to use my bus pass to get back home so had to pay - all done by card which the driver had to explain to me. £2.20 to travel maybe just over half a mile. I would normally have walked back but it is uphill , I was tired and I needed to conserve energy. Is the cost par for the course these days?

I think you've said that you don't have a good, if any, bus service where you live Hosta, would you use one if available?

I only use one to get into and out of town occasionally as parking is very expensive and a bit of a nightmare. The bus pass is a godsend to us.

Amol Rajan? Is he the right choice? I can't recall as it's that long ago, but I probably posed the same question regarding Paxman taking over from Gascoigne...and Paxman (to me) was brilliant - different, but brilliant. Time will tell with Rajan.
    It's a box ticked...

I'm a mile to the main road , and it's uphill all the way back here, so unless they diverted a bus up here, probably not.

A bit of street theatre this afternoon. Lots of shouting and an angry chap waving a baseball bat around before speeding off in his van. I don't think baseball is a very popular sport around here so he'll have fun explaining that to the police, after which they'll probably put him on the County Lines watch list.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
