Dove, one would hope that if the company are aware that some balls of wool are underweight, they might make a bit more effort with their quality control! Especially with the price they are charging, they shouldn’t be leaving it to inconvenienced customers to do their work for them. B3, you sound like my OH, he hates having hot feet. Might change his tune this winter!
Hosta, thankfully you haven't met me and my hot (smelly) feet! my curmudgeon. With now having the solar system,I have to wait before doing the washing. Checked the weather forecast for my area,(hum, MAYBE an occasional shower!) Three washloads, bedding, towels, clothes,t cloths.mid colours first, full load, second lights, full load. Last darks, thick stuff jumpers, hubbies denims and track suit bottoms. Cloudless blue sky..... breezy. Then commeth the black clouds. Got the bedding in which was dry. Then the rain started, got the lighter weight stuff on the electric airer. I put it in the summer house, and did my workout while listening to the radio.....about sustainable energy ironically.Heavy shower, thick stuff in the dryer for 40 minutes I've only used it once this year,in March. I loath it, I want my washing smelling of fresh air,in the dryer,it comes out smelling of nothing, exactly the same as before it was washed. Am going to get myself a glass of wine now and sulk!
My wife can't sleep without having socks on and I can't sleep with socks on. I also can't sleep if my wife doesn't have socks on as her cold feet refrigerate anything within a two metre radius. It's like having two blocks of ice at the end of the bed.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
