I had to change my dog's favourite chewy stick because they reduced the size. He kept looking at me like he suspected I'd eaten an inch off the end. The new one is twice the price sadly but the ingredients are better and I don't think he'd go back to the old one now.
It's a great scheme though. Charge the same but reduce the stick size by enough that a dog will notice and you have to give him an extra half. Sales increase by 50% and it's all profit.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
Our SM - Leclerc in France - is refusing to stock Whiskas and Pedigree pet foods after the suppliers put up the price to what leclerc felt were unacceptable levels. Neither cats nor dogs are bovvered by the substitute toothy chews (Dentastix replacements) or biscuits. Fine by me as it's a saving.
We've been using electric toothbrushes for over 30 years. The power units last years, even decades, and I buy replacement toothbrush heads when I see them on offer. Very economical and so much better than manual brushes.

I have a friend who was a Dental Nurse for donkeys years, and her boss, they only recommend electric toothbrushes.... partly because of the cleaning, but more importantly, because most people brush too hard with a manual. We started off with 4 on a docking station, which had to be put back on it, after use, then graduated to a certain very well known brand... bought in half price deal from a pharmacy,I now have a posher model, others work fine, and the grandkids use them, new heads. Have seen the price of them shoot up. I bought hubby a sonic which he loves,(recommend on a program Phillips Jenkinson used to do, came up better than ones costing 6 times the price) My late Father always said " The cheapest isn't always the cheapest, and the dearest isn't always the best".
It's lashing down this morning and freezing cold too but it's amazing how many parents drop their kids off at school without putting a coat on. Tough breed up here

do they wear hair rollers under a scarf when they're out shopping on a Saturday so that their hair looks good down the pub that night? Saw a video of that practice once. I'm not making it up. I think the programme was about northern culture
I think the last generation to wear coats at secondary school was my son’s age group, he’s nearly 55, it started when they couldn’t leave their coats on pegs for the day, someone would pinch it, so they had to carry all their stuff from class to class. Just easier not to take a coat. I’m still wearing his last school coat, a lovely padded parka.

Years ago my daughter gave me a padded parka, she didn't like it after she bought it as it had a hood! I wear it all the time in the garden in the winter, very useful!
