Amol Rajan? Is he the right choice? I can't recall as it's that long ago, but I probably posed the same question regarding Paxman taking over from Gascoigne...and Paxman (to me) was brilliant - different, but brilliant. Time will tell with Rajan.

I think Amol Rajan is brilliant, a good choice.

    Hadn't heard that but I agree - I like him - I reckon he'll do a good job  :)

He doesn't appeal to me at all, but time will tell.

Rajan's been good on Radio 4, but I haven't overly enjoyed some of the TV interviews that he's done.
But then what do I know - I had doubts about smiley Clive Myrie for Mastermind- and now, to me, he's been a seamless transition.
I'm amazed no one has been shouting for a female presenter.....(light fuse and step back)...

Rajan seems to have a permanent sneer on his face.  I have wanted to throw something at the telly on occasions where I've seen him doing interviews.

My car is in the garage at the moment. I'm grumpy about the £1300 repair and service estimate. :s  I barely drive the bloody thing these days.
Well in the end the garage charged me £580 for service and repairs. I've now got to buy the brakes and fit them myself along with another couple of jobs but it should come in under £800 as long as nothing goes badly wrong.
I also had a dental appointment today and was expecting to need a crown and two fillings after an incident with an olive stone hidden in a pizza. Apparently though there's no problems he can see and I'm fine until my next check-up in 12 months time. It cost me £14 for the check-up and x-rays.

An online pet food retailer that I occasionally use just sent me an email with details of a photo competition. Apparently all I have to do is send them the best photo that I've taken of my pet and I'll be in with a chance of winning. The prize is that they will use my photo in their next calendar. I don't win a free calendar or any other prize though. Call me cynical but this just seems like they're getting free photos for their calendar :|
