Yesterday was a good day for Butterflies in the garden with Tortoiseshell, Red Admiral, Holly Blue, Gatekeeper, Ringlet and Large White all feeding on the Verbena.

And two species of Digger Wasp were very welcome too.

I just had a lovely peacock; I almost feel like these look too exotic for the UK!

It's the first one I've seen too this year @Sheps . My husband is completely clueless about this stuff yet always seems to stumble on the good stuff. He was in the garden the other day and took a photo of a butterfly for my benefit and that was of a peacock too. I was enraged that he had seen it and didn't even appreciate it while I missed it 😄
