If it's lashable, it's lashed (or bungeed) down. There isn't anything very positive to say about tomorrow, except the height of the winds do seem to be in daylight hours. We've been for a jerrycan of E5 for the jenny. Boy goes to Doggy daycare down a very narrow lane and we have commented before that some of the oaks look in a very fragile state. If in doubt, he'll have to stay at home tomorrow.
I'm staying inside tomorrow! had a mini greenhouse once.all of my courgette plants got swept up by the wind and landed in a heep upside down.i was very upset as I was new to gardening and didn't realise how easy they were to grow!didn't take long for new ones to grow again.have to say very worried about next doors massive trampoline.and her chickens that are not in a house.and the rabbit..
A neighbour was very nearly brained today by a big falling branch in the park. I suspect a lot of people will be walking in the woods tomorrow to enjoy the storm and survey the damage. 🙄
There had evidently been a large old tree fallen across the farm lane when I walked down there this morning, the chopped up trunk/branches were piled up on the opposite verge. Don't think I'll be walking anywhere tomorrow morning.
I suspect there will be a Darwinian effect for idiots going to stand on the harbour wall in Bridgend and 80 mph winds come through. ffs.
I'm concerned about the great amount of scaffolding that's up locally. Flying poles and boards could do a lot of damage to house if they do come loose. There's one right across the road from me. Cowboy companies.
Just had to venture out. The stake on a young mimosa snapped, and the poor tree was being pulled sideways. Luckily we had another stake handy, the tree has been righted, and a new stake hammered in. I hope it won’t have suffered any lasting damage. The potted conifer by the garage door was on its side, now in the garage temporarily, and I’ve retrieved a watering can from the drive. Luckily it didn’t start raining until we were safely back indoors. It’s really gusting now.
Any plane enthusiasts? There's a youtube channel covering live Heathrow arrivals. The commentator is a bit loud, but he really knows his planes. The channel is called Big Jets TV. It's fascinating to watch the sheer bravery and skill of the pilots, some of the planes coming in from the US will be pretty low on fuel.

Talk about extreme TV. Keep safe everyone.
Cambridgeshire/Norfolk border.
I don't particularly enjoy being in a plane at the best of times so even contemplating being in the air today gives me The Fear!
It might appear that the storm is tracking further east than anticipated.
Most will be grounded today
