Goodness but that certainly is a huge job! What happens when it is so very hot and the water butts run dry. Do you have a nearby tap to top up when needed?
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Gosh Ante! I am speechless. You have my respect. I am never going to moan about my garden being dry again now as the distance I have to cover to move water about is so small compared to yours.

Hi @Ante1 I didn't realise you had a separate thread about your small holding. It is amazing how much you manage to do. Teaching isn't an easy job so I have no idea how you manage to fit everything in. It's looking good. Will definitely be following your endeavours.
Good evening everybody. I worked again yesterday outside, and it wasn't very good idea. I didn't felt well on the end due to high temperature. Most important job was watering, and also I cleared weed around sweet potatoes.
Young french beans. In next seven days I'll have first harvest.
Lovely photos Ante your produce is growing so well and it looks healthy, the fruits and flowers are equally good. I love the Pomegranate flowers they are so attractive. Take care of yourself, sorry to hear you were feeling unwell after a long hot day. Well done on all your hardwork, you have a lot to be proud of 😊
Three days ago we finally get some rain. I would like some more, but I'm happy with that and temperature drop. Today is cloudy whole day, but without rain. Tomorrow I'll start with preparation for sowing turnip, black radish and swede. Yesterday I sow brussel sprout, radicchio and pak choi in containers.
First very small harvest, but it's started at least.
Afternoon all. I'm back to my thread after month and few days. During that time I was fighting with drought and sun almost every day. Many of my veggies didn't survive despite watering them. When you have around 40℃ in the shade, you can imagine how much is on the full sun. And every single day was the same till yesterday. My main crop potatoes looks well, but second early is terrible. I'll have for myself and my helper, but nothing to sell. They are quality but, size and quantity are under any expectation. I can also forget on sweet potato and green beans. It's not all so black, winter crops look good (turnips, rutabaga, radishes), and sowe another round of french beans. Hope to get some rain soon.
I have some tomatoes, and they are delicious. Already made few jars of sauce for winter.
There are also some chillies.
Yellow plums for marmalade and compote.
And my favorite flower, I adore their fragrance. They are tall, but not as they should be. At least birds will have food for winter.

My small beets patch.
I found this pinkish achillea, not very common.

Ignore my muddy hand 😁.
