Earlier today my Christmas trees seedling arrived. 15 Canadian spruce (on the left) and 15 Blue spruce (on the right). Whole house smells like Christmas. They are in the bucket with water, and if weather permits, I'll plant them at Friday.

10kg onions! wow that's a lot, I to plant 90-100kg of potatoes but I only plant 4-5kg of onions.

I agree that's a lot of onions.  I  am not growing any of the onion family this year. Sadly we have a fungal disease on our ground called White rot. It attacks the root and base plate, and the bulbs won't store well.  I am still clearing an old Asparagus and , close by, a strawberry bed. As these areas won't have grown onions for more than 7 years, I may try some next year. I  will grow some of the potatoes there this year as the amount of cultivation will help clear the perennial weeds that are the reason for moving these beds to a new spot.
I hope your trial of Christmas trees works out for you.  Have started sowing any seeds yet?

Good morning @Skandi and @Allotment Boy. Believe me, it's only a half amount of onions which I planted previous years. I decided for only 10kg this year, because last year was completely disaster. I mentioned that I have friend with restaurant, and he buys all my extra veggies.

@Allotment Boy, thank you, Christmas trees look very nice and healthy. Few days after I planted them they spread the branches and now have fresh green colour. I started with some seeds a month ago. Mostly peppers and tomatoes. Seedlings look nice at this moment, and most of my veggies I sow directly.
Sorry to hear that you have problems with White rot. Hope you will clear new bed from perennial weeds, potatoes are always good choice as first culture.

Hi , we have had poor weather too, not, as bad sounding as yours but wetter and cold nights. So up until the last couple of weeks when it warmed up we are very behind here. I am away at the moment,  so will have to catch up again when I get back.

    Hello Ante

Looking good - and you are keeping on top of the weeds.  Everything looks nice and tidy.

    Lovely to see your posts!!

Thank you @tui34. I'm going to be little bit smug, and say that I'm winning against weeds at the moment, but summer just began. Neighbor fields are all overgrown which cause my some problems, but it's paradise for insects.

Looking good there Ante. Your hard work is really paying off for you. I hope that the deer are keeping away.
