  • Goodness me,  away for the weekend, so many posts.  Just got back from OH'S sisters. Had an easy run back for once the M5-M4, M25 were all behaving for a change.  We didn't do much while there as it was wet & windy, but it made a change of scenery.

Afternoon all, it was frosty and cold first thing this morning but had warmed up a little by the time I did my usual walk. Found the other half of the wooden pedestrian bridge was being installed, workmen joked I could cross the stream on the big pipe if I really wanted to and they'd try to catch me if I fell in. I told them I was rather accident prone and didn't dare risk it. A longer detour had then to be made via the main road.

After lunch I shot into town for a haircut, town was quiet but the bus home was packed so reluctantly donned a mask - I will be so, so glad to dispense with them hopefully in the near future.

My crocus and dwarf blue irises are coming into bloom, I do love those irises.

I like Dove's suggestion of whisky and wheat for the noisy cockerel but won't the neighbours smell a rat.

Easy quick dinner for us tonight I think, I'm quite tired out with so much walking.

She’ll have to put extra soaked wheat out for the rat 😉

There are too many other birds, such as pheasants to risk it 😯 😄

Quite right Busy-Lizzie, can you imagine the drunken cacophony from drunken cockerels and pheasant singing, Show Me the Way To Go Home?

  • Just perfect @D0rdogne_Damsel 🤩 a sauna and a jacuzzi and a bottle of red sound just what you need to oil that ‘stiff neck’ … enjoy yourself and take lots more pics to make us envious when you get home … don’t worry about us … we’ll manage without you 🙄 😉
