  • Morning everyone,
Slept like a log last night. It's very still outside this morning and the sky is a very pale blue, with the sun peeking through.  Looking down the garden things look ok, but will have a wander later. There's probably a few bits of oak tree on the ground. Hope everyone is ok and there's no damage to homes and gardens.
@Ladybird4 had a quick Google for little stoves, but didn't have a proper look.
Can see the birds in the garden too this morning, they must have been hiding in the shrubs clinging on all day yesterday. They are tweeting away so obviously happy too that the wind has gone.
Have a good day everyone, take care.
Time for another cup of tea ☕☕☕

Morning Biglad, SGL, Hazel and Chive.
Maybe your running around the field duties will be on today Biglad? I've got the curling on too and am completely in the dark as to the rules and how they score it.
Well done your council for being around so early to pick up your couch Hazel. One less thing to think about. Hope the Doc's appointment goes well.
Chive, I hope you find your Mum's property and garden safe after yesterday's storm. I am over the worst of my cold now. Thanks for asking.
SGL I hope there is no major damage to your oak tree.

    Morning all.

Think how satisfying it will be @Topbird once the kitchen is painted. What colour?

I'm a bit chilly. Our friends don't have the heating on very much, they are hardier than us. Thank goodness for the woodburner in the sitting room. Bedroom is cold.

     The wind has dropped.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I've cleared a few twigs/small branches that have fallen from next door and there was a lonely, solitary stick of rhubarb that has snapped. All good out there though :)

Ready for a weekend of wind and rain :o

Well I an now looking at a snow blizzard outside. The shiny yellow disc didn't last long, sky looks more like mercury now.

  • Just been out and wandered round the garden, apart from some twiggy bits and small bits of branches from the oak tree, everything looks ok. It's bitterly cold out, I'm definitely staying in today.
@Songbird-1 glad the council came nice and early to pick up the sofa. Hope you find something suitable from D*#e/m for your new side table.  What is a Saly table?  Hope all goes well at the Drs.
@Busy-Lizzie ooh I hate being cold,  shame your friends can't have the heating on when you are there. Stay near the log burner 😉
@Chivetalking hope everything is ok in your mum's garden. She'll enjoy seeing you. Take care on your journey.
I've got some wet cloth things to sort out, not hanging it outside though, it will have to dry on the clothes horse in the conservatory.
Sounds like it's getting windy again. Have a good day everyone

  • @Ladybird4 you weren't there just now, oh heck snowing!  Hope it's not too bad, stay in the warm.
Sun has disappeared here too and the sky is quite grey. Looks like it could rain.  It's getting breezy again, but nothing like yesterday.

The flakes are as big as I've seen, @Ladybird4. A couple of hours of this will make navigating our street interesting :o

Similar here Biglad, and its sticking. Forget what I said earlier about running around the field duties
