Hello there Chive, you weren't there when I posted. Nice to hear that your Mum is doing so well now. It seems to have been a long, long time.
Busy, I meant to say thank you for reminding me to prune my clemmies. I must remind Bestie. I need to take quite draconian action with my passion flower too. It has gone rampant.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
LB, sorry to hear that part of your garden is under the water.
Chive, I'm glad that you had a nice time with Mum, and that she can now moves easier.
Hazel, we all know that situation when you just go to look, and come out with full bags. I'm glad that you had nice time at GC. 23 will be happy with new game.
I finished with my dinner. I made strudel with cottage cheese, leeks, bacon and feta. Quite tasty, must admit.
Ante, your strudel sounds delicious. Fingers crossed that your car DOES get its MOT tomorrow and that all is fine.
Hazel, I am intrigued by that game you have got for 23. Maybe you could knit him some scarves that match those for the giraffes. Hope that you have a peaceful night and that tomorrow you feel happier in yourself.

I hope your garden won't suffer too much, LB, from all that water.
Glad your Mum is getting about better Chive.
Strudel sounds delicious, Ante.
We enjoyed our lunch out with our friends. I had duck confit salad to start then fillet of lamb with a selection of vegetables beautifully cooked and presented. OH had salmon and prawn fishcakes then sea bream. We all had a good natter. The sky went very black on the way home. Then I had a peanut parfait with sorbet, honeycomb and a caramel sauce.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Goodness Busy, that meal sounds absolutely first class. I hope that you don't feel too stiff after your clemmie wrangling. I am quite worried about my garden as with all the rain we have had, the soil now looks like shiny black mud and many of my bulbs have failed to put in an appearance. One plant that is flourishing is the water hawthorn in the pond.
