    Morning all,

Just had a quick mooch outside whilst putting out the bin. Bit chilly at the minute but looks like it could be a glorious day. Now, what to do....

    Morning all.

The new mattress topper arrived yesterday morning. We were in but didn't hear him, he left it by the front door. It was softer to sleep on but not as good as people said in the reviews. I was rather hot but OH said he slept well and he wasn't too hot.

My shoulder aches less today, thanks, but I have chronic tendonitis so it doesn't take much to start it off.

    Afternoon all.

What a day. My car passed on MOT, with only one small problem. I didn't notice that one position light don't work. Change of small bulb costet only few pennies and two hours of waiting. After MOT i went to cottage. It was impossible to work outside because soil is like a sponge, wet and squeak. Long walk in woods with Max take all my problems so I'm quite well now. It's time for dinner.

Good evening all. I have had a super day today. It was lovely to see my youngest sister, her OH and the childen (one with partner) and the two dogs. Handy brother arrived at 07:30 and I drove us both up. The weather was very kind to us and we had a great walk.

Two pictures to give you a flavour. We then went to a local dog friendly pub for our lunch before walking back to the cottage the children had rented. Sis and I went into loads of shops but were very restrained and didn't buy anything other than food! I can feel another trip coming on though.

SGL, sorry that you had a muzzy morning, I do hope it has worn off now.
Chive, I hope that your and your OH's dental check ups went well and that nothing major needs doing.
That reminds me Hazel, how is your OH going on with his tooth extraction site? I hope that your plants arrived safe and sound and that you managed to get into your garden
Ruby, when does your OH hear about his blood test results?
Glad to hear that your shoulder is easing Busy but its a shame that the mattress topper is not quite living up to expectations.
Ante, I'm glad to hear that the MOT went well. Tomorrow morning I will have to check my tyre pressures as I got a warning message on my dashboard that my driver's side rear tyre was underinflated. Luckily I was practically home so I will hunt out my pump tomorrow. Must check in the manual to find out what the tyre pressure should be.

  • Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts.
@Ladybird4 lovely photos, thank you for sharing. Sounds like you had the peŕfect day.
@Songbird-1 hope your plants arrived and you managed to get them all in the garden this afternoon.
@Busy-Lizzie glad your shoulder is less painful. Hope it feels better in the morning. Sorry to hear the mattress topper makes you feel hot.
@Ante30 great news about your cars MOT. Glad you had a lovely walk with Max.

Night night everyone, sleep well and sweet dreams.
  • Good morning all.  LB it sounds like you had a great day catching up with family.  You should hopefully have slept well.  I slept last night, first time in quite a while.  LB thank you for the pictures of Ambleside.  Ante so good your MOT went okay and reasonably priced.  It’s good you could have a soothing long walk with your lovely Max.  Chive I hope your visit to the dentist went okay for you both.  Lily I hope the muzzy feeling has cleared.  Hazel I must say the temperatures yesterday morning were bitter.  The cold went through you even in a winter coat.  Very glad to have been wearing gloves.  I hope you were wrapped up.  I’ve been enjoying watching the olympics and having some tea.

Good morning RosieBB and all to follow. RosieBB, I, too, am enjoying the Olympics whilst having tea and toast today. I have Canasta later but notice that it is raining so I might drop out, there is no joy in walking through rain to the bus stop. Have got the car manual out ready to sort out the tyres. Handy brother is hoping to pick up the mysterious case from the Estate Agents today.
