Done my SM dash and its still drizzling with rain. Glad that a refund has been agreed T'Bird, but, as you say, wait until you see the money in your account. It never fails to stagger me how long it takes them when we can pay in milliseconds by pressing a 'button'. T'bird, I have carefully washed all of my 'Dry Clean' only curtains and I haven't had one disaster. They've been washed several times now. The living room curtains have to be washed one at a time as they are rather big (90 x 108 in old money) and weigh a lot. I would never try that with velvet curtains though.
How is your back today Hazel, I hope that it has recovered now. Sorry you didn't have such a decent night last night. Have a little cat nap this afternoon but if you are anything like me that is an impossible task. I am too afraid I might miss something. Speaking of possibly missing something, I was expecting a parcel today - a heated propagator - and I was prepared to be hovering all day. Knock on the door at 07:33! Its a good job I was up! There was a trainee delivery man who was being shown what to do with the driver. I wished him all the very best in his training. Well, I mean, they could have waited until I had run a comb through my hair!

Look what leapt into my trolley at the SM.
    I could not resist!

  • Aww, @Ladybird4 that's lovely πŸ€— can see why you 'had' to bring it home!Β

Afternoon all. Well, here is already afternoon.

LB, lovely catch. I can imagine that you couldn't just pass and not buy it. 😁

Hazel and Rosie, sorry to hear that you two had a restless night. I hope that you can rest during the day.

It is another beautiful day. Walk with Max will be pleasant on day like this. I came few minutes ago from the school, and first I'll make something for lunch.
I found this in my garden.

Oh Ante, Mirko looks so happy there in the plants. Maybe the sun you had, warmed the soil and he is making the most of it.

Cats do love a good sunbathing spot don't they? - lovely pic Ante.

I'm doing a little dance of joy. I've just heard that my friend has managed to wangle me a ticket to see Adam Frost in 2 weeks time. I was due to go with her way back in March 2020 but it was cancelled due to Covid. Since then the garden club have tried to reschedule twice but had to cancel each time. So we're sincerely hoping it's 4th time lucky!

Fewer numbers are allowed to attend because of Covid distancing (most of the attendees will be retired!) and the waiting list for tickets is, therefore, very long. Don't quite know how she's managed to get me one but I'm very glad she has. I really like Adam Frost - a very down to earth and practical gardener. Really looking forward to it.

If I could just get to see (the rather lovelyπŸ˜‰) Chris Beardshaw I will then have been to talks by all my favourite gardeners. Favourites to date have been Monty Don and James Alexander-Sinclair - both very gentle, self-deprecating speakers.

Ooh T'Bird, how exciting for you. I was lucky enough to see Adam Frost at Tatton Park in 2018. He is lovely - bursting with enthusiasm. Gosh, that does seem a long time ago now.
Speaking of things being put on hold, Bestie and I have had tickets for Southport Flower show for two years now and we are hoping (fingers crossed) to be able to use them this August.

  • Afternoon everyone,Β
Biglad Hope the tree fella has been treading carefully amongst your plants if he came back today,Β
Hazel Sorry to hear you had an unsettled night, hope you have lost the muggy feeling during the day, how is your back?,
Topbird At last things are moving in the right direction, hopefully you’ll see the refund soon. Exciting news about the tickets to see Adam Frost with your friend and not long to wait 😊
LB That was a very early delivery luckily you are ready at that time of the day and the Snoopy bags are lovely you just had to give them a home,Β
SGL Have you managed to do any more cupboard sorting today?Β
Dove That sounds like a nice moist chocolate cake to make, I’m sure it will be well received,Β
Ante Great picture, they really can sleep just about anywhere if it suits them πŸ˜€
My Brother asked me to pop in and check on Jetson this afternoon as he is working all day, so of course I jumped at the chance to meet him in person gosh he is a big cat compared to Nel! I had a very warm welcome when I went in, we had a little play with some of the toys to pass the time, a few biscuits to tide him over then made my way home.Β
Nel was still on the bed from this morning 😁
    Have a nice evening everyone.Β
