Looks like a predominantly fine day today but I feel obliged to remain within range of the front door. A laptop for my new job is being delivered today. Rather than a more accurate delivery slot than 'anytime today', I've been bombarded with e-mail/texts asking me to follow a link for a no-signature delivery. Given my previous experience with this particular courier, I don't want some pillock just chucking a laptop wherever they like whilst I'm out and about!
There's also a miniscule chance of the tree fella turning up so I'm sitting in the comfy armchair with a view of the road outside. I've done a brief weeding session out the front, but I suspect today will feel like another largely wasted one by teatime
Hurrah! On the 👍👍👍 front the refund for the pruner is now showing in the credit card transactions and the Dunelm Mill thing seems to have sorted itself out 🤞- phew!
Thanks for the reminder about MOT's Ante - just had a look and mine is due on 9th March so need to get on with organising that. We have calendar reminders set for that at 4 and 6 weeks before but somehow seemed to miss them. OH put them in - suspect he doesn't do it like I do. I may need to 'redo' them....
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Ooops - take it back. It's his motorbike MOT which expires on 9th Mar - which I did know about. My car is the 30th Mar so a little time yet - another phew! We're trying to organise quite a few things over the next few weeks - which is rather tricky when we don't know when we'll have to hive off down to Basingstoke at short notice for the motorhome.
Getting myself in a bit of a tizz - need to have a cup of tea and calm down!

PPS - @Songbird-1 - meant to say I'm sorry you're feeling a bit low. Very understandable. I get like that around the beginning of Sept for similar reasons (my mum).
It's strange because it all happened a long, long time ago (40 years) and I often forget about the date. I usually can't work out why I'm feeling unsettled, sad and tetchy until I realise what the date is. Something, somewhere deep inside always remembers. It was much worse in the early years so I can empathise.
We're also not looking forward to doing the domestic accounts at the end of March. March and November are expensive months for us with insurance, vehicle services / MOT's etc This one will be worse than usual with a big bill for the m/home.

Deep breaths Topbird Have a cup of tea and sit down for a while and try and relax, although easier said than done I know. Lily sorry to hear you didn’t sleep. I hope you can have sixty winks this afternoon. I’ve washed my hair and made some lunch. I had a thudding headache earlier, almost gone now. Chive it will be lovely to see your mum today. It’s rather sunny here. Hazel sending a hug. I hope some memories will be good to look back on.
There seems to be a lot of us dealing with endless, mundane tasks. At least whilst I'm waiting I've been able to spend just shy of an hour on the phone to my bank I'm now £5 richer
I hope that all of you, who are feeling a bit low, will be better soon.
Rosie, I'm glad that your headache is almost gone.
I spent whole afternoon pruning my wine tree and clearing front garden. It was so nice to be out on the sun and surround by scent of almond flowers. I must use all that nice days because at Friday comes rain and wind.
Afternoon all. Gosh it feels strange going to Bestie's on a Wednesday. Had to run the gauntlet of refuse collectors. Bet I wake up tomorrow and think its Friday. Whatever Bestie and I said must have worked on the retailers who sold you the chainsaw T'Bird!
I daren't even mention that my energy problems are not yet solved! My but you do seem to be in a bit of a tizz. As RosieBB says, deep breaths and count to ten. If that doesn't work a medicinal G&T might help!
I was sorry to hear that you are having a bit of a downer Hazel. We all have people to miss these days. Remember the happy times you had with him.
RosieBB it was good news that your headache was receding - its all this early morning baking that does it!
Glad that your laptop arrived safely - without being jet propelled into your property Biglad. A new toy to play with!
Ante, definitely make the most of the good days - more will come along soon I hope. I couldn't believe all the flooded farmers fields I saw whilst driving to my Bestie's today. When I got home I went to my greenhouse and all the lower end of my garden is completely underwater again - including my pond!

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
