Seeing everyone’s gardens waking up just makes my soul sing
Loving all the bulbs display. We have somewhat of a glut on f daffodils, too. Last year we put some in area where old picnic table was . They are returning with a wonderful vengeance. these are “Golden Echo”
Had few surprises this year. One of them was learning how temperature changes look on some daffodil varieties. I planted variety “Teal” for the first time last fall and when they came up this year they just looked yellow. Solid yellow, albeit very electric yellow. It was supposed to have white trumpet. I though I got mislabeled bulbs again and actually became a bit upset. After I cut some of them and brought inside from cold they started to turn their intended color right in front of my eyes!
They're still going strong here too, @Loxley. Do you collect the seeds? I liken them to piles of tiny dinner plates, love collecting them from the plants at the edge of the long grass. When the pod starts to split open they shake out at a touch, and can be scattered where needed.
That's a fabulous patch of frits! No I didn't collect the seeds but I was pleased to see them return better than the first year they were in. Thanks for the tip though, I will give that a go.

Difficult to photograph so I took one of a dead 'mouse' too!
