    That's interesting, as cowslips here are all in grass and not nearly ready to flower yet.
    Primroses are flowering now. Just goes to show the differences up and down the country.

    I look forward to it every year, and look each day to see what's new. It's a little knoll with a damson tree and these are all around the trunk. The conditions must be just right I suppose. Orchids come later and I'm so pleased today to see masses of yellow rattle emerging. All these plants grow elsewhere in the orchard but here they form this little treasure chest.
    It could be replicated in s square metre or less of lawn, as long as it's all allowed to die down before cutting.
