    I think @Obelixx must be clairvoyant.  I had a call from the hospital yesterday with a mid February date for my hip replacement.  That's almost a year to the day from my appointment with the consultant who said there was an 18 month wait.  If it all goes to plan we should be able to have a proper summer holiday after all.  I'm not going to count my chickens and book anything yet.

    I have the beginnings of arthritis in my knee. It's a shame I can't make an appointment now so that by the time it gets bad, I'll already have an appointment soon.

    Fingers crossed @KT53.   @B3 there are supplements you can take such as turmeric (needs to have black pepper in the mix), nettle, filipendula and scrophula (figwort) that help with arthritic joints.
