In my opinion far, far too many 'gongs' are awarded.  The GC for the whole of NHS is well deserved, but simply for running events, or running in events, which raise money for charity?  Come on.

Wasn’t very successful with my first batch of air fryer Yorkshires. Probably didn’t heat the ramekins enough, but I also tweaked the mix instead of doing my usual rough and ready batter. They looked good, the tops rose nicely, but they were a bit cakey underneath. Not a problem, I fished them out of the ramekins and popped them back in for further cooking with the roast potatoes. Tasted pretty good anyway, and I’ll definitely have another go.

Just cut my lawn.  When we went on holiday there was almost no grass and only a few hardy weeds doing well.  2 1/2 weeks later and I have a full garden waste wheelie bin ready to go.

Our grass is now too wet and lush to be cut. This happens every year.
Next opportunity will be next spring when things will start to dry up a bit.

Funny how different it is in the various parts of the UK.

Both OH and I won small amounts from Premium Bonds today, much to our surprise.

Went to see the surgeon on Wednesday.  Very pleased with new knee which is clearly very stable and the muscles recovering well.   Compliments to good physio.  Checked the state of the other knee.  When do I want it done?  July again please.  Fine.

Wen to physio this morning and passed on the compliments.  He promptly gave me 3 new exercises to do and a variation on an old one.  I now have thighs saying hello!

Pleased to hear it's all going well @Obelixx.  I still have no idea when I'll have my hip replacement and there's no point calling for an update before early in the New Year.  It is certainly deteriorating.  On holiday I was fine walking on the flat although I know to stop regularly and rest, just for a couple of minutes.  However, after walks the hip feels on fire and that is only a recent change.

I hope you get an appointment for surgery soon @KT53.   My physio's Pa had both done at once and I occasionally see him in the gym end of the consulting rooms.    He's doing well.
