Ironing a pair of trousers this afternoon I found £20 in the back pocket. Great things, polymer notes.

Now here's a question. When I get money from that nice hole in the wall it's always crisp and clean. Question is, is it washed and ironed and put back into use when the bank takes it in, a bit like laundering money?

FGM still going strong here and looking fabulous :) . I reckon probably another couple of weeks before it's time to start pulling them out, and then it'll probably be done over another couple of weeks. No doubt I'll miss some and find them later when they're all black and manky.

My RTBC is that both waterbutts filled up overnight  :D

Having been away for a week,  the bird feeders were all empty,  so I didn't just refill them I cleaned and rearranged them.  Within 5 minutes a pair of bluetits were in and around,  but even better I then noticed they were in and out of the new bird box, that I have put up in the Apple tree.

That's a job scheduled for next week @Allotment Boy. We took our feeders down a fortnight ago as the rat was back and we were also away quite a lot. Hopefully the rat has moved elsewhere now and once the feeders have been cleaned, I can put them back. Good news about your blue tit eyeing up the new box!

The swallows are back, one tried to get into the sitting room through a closed window this morning. Love this time of year. Another RTBC, it looks as though there are tiny buds on the Peony Bowl of Beauty that I planted last year. I feared that I had planted it too deeply but all is well.

Same here @Allotment Boy. I've had blue tits regularly going in and out the nest box I put up, and when I was round there emptying and mixing the compost bin, I could see little bits of moss and feathers poking out the bottom, so it looks like they like it, even if they don't have any eggs/youngsters at this point. Fingers crossed it'll happen    :)
