Well, there's some kind of damp stuff apparently coming from above, it's almost wetting some plant leaves - no idea what it is, but it's like a dryer version of water.  🤣

I've just realised I didn't give the actual price.  £1.74 per litre
Our local independent has just  come down to a similar level £1.747 for ordinary unleaded.  Still cost me nearly £60 to top up car from 1/4 full.

The only advantage of a tank which claims to be on fumes when it's actually close to 1/4 full is it costs less each time you fill it up.

A bus driver very kindly stopped for me midway when he saw I was running down the hill to catch it. Not many do that for you these days - probably not supposed to.

Hats off to Birmingham for the hosting of the Commonwealth Games . Such a lovely atmosphere, and beautiful weather as well.

Not sure what the youngsters made of it, but how l enjoyed Ozzie Osborne and Black Sabbath at the closing ceremony  🙂.
Musical Youth not quite so youthful,  but "Pass the Dutchie" has been going through my head all night.
Love Bhangra music, l can't sit still when l hear it.

Some photos of the Birmingham Bull who stole the show at the opening ceremony

The weather has certainly been a massive bonus.  It's brought the crowds out and even morning sessions at the athletics has seen the stadium full.  Normally morning sessions are near empty.
Coverage has been good too, with most sports getting coverage on Auntie Beeb.

Totally agree @AnniD … it was all absolutely brilliant … and last night rounded it all off perfectly… @punkdoc and I were just discussing it on Forkers. Dear old Ozzie … I was a bit worried about him but he was great … the perfect person/band for the grand finale.

Yes it’s all been amazing such a great boost to tourism and a real positive buzz in the city. Many of my friends and family were involved and have only had good things to say. The gorgeous weather certainly helped and it’s lovely to have something to be proud of in the UK, makes a change.
I am not a sports fan but I really enjoyed it all
